I get messages that one of my settlements is under attack rather frequently, I generally only care about helping out if it's Sanctuary.

Toughest fight I've had so far. She was a pain, but it was her f**king swarms of babies that f**ked me up. Had to keep switching between the sniper rifle and the sub machine gun.

See, thing is, all I have is pipe guns, shotguns, a minigun and some mines.

I'm seriously lacking the firepower for this fight, and I'm worried my Minutemen will all die without my help.

I got this on PC so I could trade in the Xbone version for Battlefront.

The controls on PC sucks balls big time. Like the keyboard mouse is fine for running around and shooting and what not but R and then ENTER to scrap an entire town gets rather tedious very quickly.

Can't wait til a decent controls mod comes out.

Only had one random encounter where 2 guys were having a standoff, one with a shotgun. Both identical and they pleaded their cases to me about which was the true 'Van'. Ended up trying to talk my way out of it but the guy with the gun turned on me so I killed him.

Hope the other guy didn't kill the rest of his family. It was odd.

Base building is much easier on the PC, but still clunky. I just made a prefab house and put some mattresses in it. Tacked a door on and will upgrade as I go along.

Found a Neverending Laser Rifle. Unlimited ammo. What sucks is the unlimited ammo does not apply to companions...

Also found ANOTHER mirelurk queen. Seemed alot easier than the Castle one though.

The x and y mouse values are different, that's why it feels so god damn janky. Pretty sure it also has acceleration and smoothing on by default.

Use this to get it fixed: http://files.shanelenzen.com/fix-fallout-4.html

Bethesda dropped the ball on the PC release, i have got to use my 360 control.

They get a pass from me because this is my favorite game since oblivion. The base building is so f**king natural with all the junk you collect, the gunplay is boss, and it's so dense. I've seen people compare it to the Witcher 3 and it's world, but every 20m in Fallout there is something to do. Ammo in a car, a skeleton posed a wierd way which makes you wonder how they died, a bus full of nuclear barrels and a sick gun, a sniper roost atop a building, there's just so god damn much. I'm 45 hours in and feel like i've barely scratched the surface.

I should elaborate, I did the .ini controls fix after I found a thread on reddit, but just the keyboard buttons for everything is a hassle.

Pressing Enter any more than once in a game is so unnatural to anyone whos played a game on PC, but when you have to do it over and over again depending on the situation (base building) it becomes tedious to let go of the mouse and do it.

There are other examples but I need to get some time to play again to remember!

Bumped into my first Mirelurk King the other day. f**king ferocious little bastard. Blasted him to hell with Boomstick 3.0.

I love the attention to detail in this game: the teddy bears posed in weird ways all around the place, the little love letters or PC messages explaining those last terrifying hours, the skeletons indicating how people died when the bombs dropped etc.

TIL: You can tell your companions to equip the weapons and armour you have them carry.

Level 32 and I just now learned this.

I think this is a great game, but Witcher 3 leaves it for dead in terms of gameplay and its world imo.

Much has been said about Fallout 4's improved gunplay, but it hasn't really improved much at all since New Vegas imo.

The Witcher bored the shit out of me and felt like a chore I was forcing my self through, Fallout 4 I'm struggling to drag myself away from it's world, there always just one more little thing I want to do before I switch off. Has The Witcher covered easily for me.

lol same here. Found out around level 20. Armor fine...But if you're going to equip weapons be prepared to be constantly giving them ammo. I don't know how some of these companions survived for so long with their spray and pray aim...

SPOILERS -

Got to the point in the game where you see the Brotherhood of Steel blimp for the first time. Gotta say my jaw dropped when it happened. Had to bust out the tissues it was that beautiful. The entire landscape changes when they show up. Random dropships, patrols, etc. Hearing gunshots in the distance and going over to investigate then seeing a battle between super mutants holed up in a building fighting brothers in power armor...Then seeing the cavalry arrive in the form of a vertibird just raining down fire from it's gatling gun. This game is fking awesome.

Also, Cait just fking flat out rejected me....must improve charisma. Or try my luck with Piper...

Yeah, I felt the same about The Witcher. I loved the gameplay and the world looked amazing, but it wasn't a world I felt particularly close with. I felt apart and above it, rather than immersed in it.

It doesn't help that you're being forced to play the role of Geralt, which kind of makes it hard to mesh with your own personality.

Oddly enough, once I equipped her once, she started auto-equipping weapons. I was in a big firefight with some Super Mutants and then Piper just burst in with a f**king mini-gun and mowed everybody down.

I honestly don't know where she got it, as I'd never given her one to carry.

That was a pretty f**king amazing scene. I remember being totally blown away by it as well.
