Not sure the money is exclusively there, They will work in partnership with another region but not as a stand alone Central Coast/North Sydney team
The Central Coast ship has sailed... Bears need perf or Adelaide, they won't get back without them, personally i reckon becoming NZ2 is the way to go for them... seperates them from Australia, and leaves them in NZ without any pressure or expectations to succeed, they'd only need to stack up against the warriors, which isn't that hard to do right now, but if they don't makes the warriors look good, its a win/win, without really sacrificing anything,
Base them in Hamilton and around Bay of Plenty, keep them in the north island

You know i love expansion talk, serious expansion talk... Perth, PNG, and more NZ teams are a must to grow the footprint of the competition and player pool.. but we cannot always poke fingers into every expansion plan/bid on the viability of whether the teams will have 25k stadia or corporate boxes to suit new expansion sides... there's more important issues with expansion than just money coming in... growing the player pool is a must, and including other underrepresented cities are a must too, Perth is no.1, then Adelaide, Wellington, more QLD, more NZ, maybe another Melbourne, you saw my take on the 24 team comp... its should be somewhat of a footprint going forward regarding future expansion, especially while we have an administration willing to expand
for a change we agree! But that is most definitely not how the nrl look at things.

I think 2 games works in Sydney. How they do the rest is the question but like Dolphins they bring history, Junior pathways and some corporate support.
It is just finding where to base them for the rest of the season

I don't think we do agree, on the expansion principle yes, but on the ARLC we do not, this is the 1st real commission that values expansion, what other competition in the world would promote a lower grade well run BRL club into its 1st grade competition forever (as in not relegated UP) again i don't see an issue with the ARLC, you seem you have been burnt and hold a SIZEABLE insanely HUGE grudge on PVL and the rest of the commission, only to be shown that your jumping to conclusions...Choice of 17th brand in SEQ2, the classic drones of the lengthy CBA deal, Salary Cap, or International Schedule all are hot topics and one by one each made you look foolishly inpatient at any results....
I trust that shit will get done, and that they are doing what they can, and not sitting on their arses... expansion is coming thick and fast, you've seen it already with the womens teams, imagine how many mens they'll pump out within the next decade to keep the broadcast money rolling thru, content is king, more clubs, more games per week to sell, more areas to increase awareness, player pool, entertain and involve..

The ARLC was form in 2012.

The salary cap was $4.4m then.
GC was $35m in debt then
Newcastle had their licence handed to the NRL when Tinkler went bust.

Yet 10 years later
The salary cap is now over $12m
Every club is making profits, Has CoE's and outside of football money coming in.
Finally expansion
Womens game is growing to now have 10 teams with professional players

The ARLC has been great for the game, No one person has done all of this

Whilst they are indeed the first commission to actually expand the game after 12 years of talking about it they still went with the safest option. They could have thrown it open to anywhere to bid but they went with safety and conservatism. Rightly or wrongly it shows their mindset.
I have a problem with Vlandys as he is a poor leader, imo. He talks rubbish at times that can damage the game, he knee jerk reacts to stuff, he is clearly autocratic in his style and I have serious doubts about his impartiality when it comes to News Ltd. But that's for the pistol pete thread :)

Like I've always said nothing is black and white. There's been a lot of really good positive movement for the sport in last decade, there's also been some major gaffs and poor decisions.

IMO you are an appalling poster but you are still here sprouting the same drivel day after day. That’s the way it goes.

From the PM's speech in PNG

In his historic address to PNG’s Parliament on Thursday, the first foreign leader to do so, Mr Albanese discussed a strengthened relationship between the two nations within trade, resources and biosecurity.
He posited rugby league as a topic shared between cultural sensibilities and claimed “sport is such a genuine and powerful way of building strong and lasting ties”.

It is a mutual passion recently cultivated with PNG Prime Minister James Marape.

“When Prime Minister Marape and I watched the State of Origin together in Suva last year, he said there are only three days that your country stops. Game one, Game Two, and game three,” Mr Albanese said to PNG’s Parliament, eliciting a laugh from members.
“That is something I think that a lot of Australians can relate to, and it was great to see so many people getting off the Air New Guinea flights in Brisbane to support the talent of the criminals and the orchids in the Prime Minister's XIII matches.

“Today I affirm my view that I want to see a PNG based team Pacific Islanders competing in the national rugby league competition.”
A side encompassing players and resources from Tonga, Samoa, Fiji and Cook Islands together with PNG is being looked at as a possibility.

I read Albo's comment aloud in his voice to make it sound as dumb as it reads.
