Millionaires living in luxury walled city whilst people starve in slums around them. Sounds like some dystopian sci fi movie! Hunger Games anyone?

Looks like it's a go-er
The NRL will be given millions by the government to cover additional costs associated with the mooted Port Moresby team, including flights, accommodation and logistics, minimising the code’s financial risk in taking on a PNG-based outfit.

The final breakdown for the $600m public investment will be refined in coming weeks. Clubs are expecting to receive extra payments of at least $2m annually.

Under the planned arrangements, the increased funding for clubs will not be paid directly by the federal government but will be distributed by the NRL as part of the overall expansion plan.

$2mill will do it .😅 It does say something about the bid though doesn't it.
Hopefully they get the right people in charge. Who's the gun CEO you'd chase?

Both sides of government want us to fear china. Funding for PNG team will be safe..

We’re in this mess because the previous liberal government slashed the AusAid budget which was going to places like PNG, which led them to cozy up to China. They’ve done it before.
