It’s kind of what I’m thinking. Amounts are too similar.

No, because we know the answer. afl has a variable grant scheme
But back to nrl……. Who do you think pays for png after the govt money stops?
Of course you didn’t

get ready for the announcement by the feds now it’s rugby leagues turn to get some sweet federal money

You’re failing to answer the question
Been discussed a million times before previously including by you

everything is looking like the deal is done

announce money to afl then announce money for png so nobody can complain about favouritism

the arlc has played a blinder

So who’s paying the bills when the govt doesn’t? I havent seen anyone answer that question beyond “well they could just be moved”!

If you think nrl is going to introduce a club with a limited lifespan youve got rocks in your head.

a club need to generate at least $15mill a year now. Simple question, how does a png club do that once there is no more govt money?

PNG thread. Come on answer the question!

You’re the biggest cheerleader for them so tell us your thoughts on what happens when the govt money dries up.

1 funding will never get cut
2. Png sponsorship means the club is actually viable on it own
3. Relocation
4. Nrl via a higher grant than anyone else

well done, we got there in the end lol

1.its a daydream to think govt funding will be indefinite
2. Thirld world country, never going to happen. Not to mention sponsorship is just one third of the $15mill. Fan revenue and game day corporate sales make up the rest.
3.just lol, let’s bring in a club we know can’t survive long term, yeh nah.
4. The nrl grant doesn’t cover the $32mill ayear a club needs to operate.

but yeh you make a compelling case for the sustainability of a png club!

How so?
Assuming the funding is greenlit for both,

The AFL get the demands they want
And we get the govs vanity project they want

Do you really think if the NRL got to choose where to spend 240mil it would be on a money pit in PNG?
