well done, we got there in the end lol

1.its a daydream to think govt funding will be indefinite
2. Thirld world country, never going to happen. Not to mention sponsorship is just one third of the $15mill. Fan revenue and game day corporate sales make up the rest.
3.just lol, let’s bring in a club we know can’t survive long term, yeh nah.
4. The nrl grant doesn’t cover the $32mill ayear a club needs to operate.

but yeh you make a compelling case for the sustainability of a png club!
Tasmanian afl club

it’s already been shown it can’t be viable

why wouldn’t the aid be indefinite? Once the club is up and running why would they want to stop it

major Aussie mining companies will be behind their flagship team in the nations national sport

same with game day sales you don’t know how much corporate revenue they can bring in

and like the afl the nrl can pick up the tab for any lost revenue like they will in afl

afl and nrl are literally doing the exact same thing and it’s only png you are questioning

Partially funding a stadium in an AFL state, is in no way the same as funding a professional team in a third world country.

The reality is, there is no votes in it, so that's why it's a pipedream

There's votes in Tas, not in PNG.

That's why it will never happen

Except there are no votes for labor in Tasmania for this project because tas labor opposed it, and the liberal reps seats are in the north where this project is highly unpopular and the mhrs opposed it. I am at a total loss to understand as to why Albo supported this. He must have something else in mind.

Well the wanker went to Kyle Sandiland’s wedding yesterday calling him a great Australian success story. Shows what morals the bloke has.

You think the earning power of a club in hobart and a club in port moresby are the same?
you think nrl is going to change its grant scheme to keep a poor club afloat?
You think australian govt will keep throwing $20mill plus a year at the nrl forever?

You are funny.

If not on par then tasmania will be less

yes it’s possible the nrl supports them

and yes I think it’s probably the Australian govt will keep funding it

Albanese has already asked the act govt to put in a proposal for a new stadium lol

Penrith have 300 million from the state govt, getting money on top from the feds will be a walk in the park

I guess seeing the nrl doing so well and Perth still being left out for the forseeable future must sting

The Federal budget is handed down in 7 days.

So far there has been Zero announcements regarding funding of ANY kind for the NRL.

Can someone provide an update every day until next Tuesday?

Clive Palmer's spam.

What does @Wb1234 do next Tuesday when the budget is announced and there is nothing in there for the PNG pipedream?

Make up some more bullshit?
Some rugby league fan you are

happy afl got 300 million to help them expand then hoping rugby league gets nothing to help their expansion

all because they want the team to be based in cairns

keep chirping
