What has management got to talk about Gids and Aku about? Being mentioned in a failed attempt to get some drugs?

Call the police immediately!

Stevie wonder could see that the players couldn't get anything and in desperation were looking for gids to look after them.if I was in charge of the knights I'd be having a chat with gids to find out his involvement.
But I suppose we are talking about Newcastle & that sort of thing seems to be par for the course over the history of the club.

The entire squad needed to be questioned mate
wicks is on a wire saying he got 20 blokes waiting for some gear hours after the knights season was over... its not hard to join the dots mate

Im not naive enough to think that recreational drug use isnt happening at pretty much all clubs and in just about, if not all codes... but you dont get caught... dont ask, dont tell and ffs dont get caught

Fancy wanting to enjoy yourselves on Mad Monday. Ohh the humanity.

On one hand... all this detective work and wiretaps for 150 pills? Scarface motherf**ker!

On the other hand... don't be an idiot and buy 150 pills using mum's money.

The entire squad was questioned individually by Stone and Burraston. They all (including Houston) said they didn't have anything to do with drugs. Funny stuff.

It is a bit of a shame that the Knights couldn't wait to sign Houston again. The cops said he bought 150 pills from Wicks and Houston agreed to that fact. Personal use? I doubt it but I'm speculating. I know he wasn't found guilty but he has admitted/agreed that he bought them. It was a silly charge (inciting Wicks to sell drugs) and was never going to stick with such a strong case against Wicks.
In the end it's a bad look for league. Houston's lucky he can play a bit.

A few players when they are out and about don't even attempt to hide it. Andrew Johns drug use was the worst kept secret in the game amongst players. Usually if they are a good enough they know the club will overlook whatever they do in their private life.

Then post the link, not the scans
It's not web based so it doesnt nee a link to reference it. The reference is in the footer.

The word "Illegal" Mean anything to you apart from "Sick Manly supporter?"

One thing makes you wonder. How many long term injuries are actually players caught using illegal recreational drugs copping a ban?

Johns drug use was the worst kept secret in the entire RL world, if not australia.

 Good on you

id rather support a club that develops men who stand up and accept responsibility for their acts, instead of cowardly boys who hide behind "medical conditions"

so i guess we're both happy :)

Engaging in homosexual acts used to be illegal. Having an abortion used to be illegal. I wish being a gimp was illegal, you'd be f**ked.

If a player wants to let their hair down and drop a pill or two on Mad Monday, it's hardly the crime of the century.

Nice logic. Is that what you intend telling the magistate when you get done for armed robbery you imbecile??????

150 pills? He's make Keith Richard look like William Hopoate (If you can remember who he was).

You sound like Wicks's supplier.

the sacking of that clown was a very clear signal of a change of culture within our club. Others could do with said change. Yours included, thankfully for you it seems like thats exactly whats happening at the chooks

Yeah, comparing dropping a pill with armed robbery. That's sound logic.

I was talking about Gids and Aku you f**ken dunce; not the supplier.

Hopoate's that guy who got to win a premiership with his local NRL side isn't he? Don't think there are many Parramatta juniors who can say the same.

The worst thing morally about recreational drug use is that it supports organised crime but that is because its illegal. Unless you are the type of person who believes that the LAW IS THE LAW of course there really isn't a lot to make a fuss over a player taking a pill on mad monday.

MDMA is relatively harmless. It is certainly a softer drug than alcohol the drug they would have otherwise been abusing the shit out of.

As a supporter I really don't care what the Raiders do as players off the field. So long as its not hurting anyone else. I do care if they show up to games f**ked up or miss training sessions or whatever but if they want to drop some *gasp* ILLEGAL DRUGS after a game I really couldn't give a shit......

so long as we won.
