Post Game Function Aug 28-31 Round

I wouldn't expect the full squad to do a post match function after every home game though. It would be overkill IMO.

Fair enough that's your opinion, but 2 things on the point.

1) during the 1980's and early 90's when the majority of our games were on a Sunday we would get the team turning up after every game

&

2) I spoke with a long term member of the coaching staff about the changes since the election and one of the thing he said told me was that, the front office things never realy affected thecteam and Alan and Denis were well regarded by all the playing and coaching staff, the only problem this person has had in his considerable tenure at the club was that the team wasn't welcomed back to the club after a game (post match functions be they public or private).

I just think it's a bit rich expecting a function after a night game. Especially for the guys with families etc.

If we did if after every Sunday game and 5:30 Saturday game that would more than enough in my opinion.

I just wish people would actually let the players enter the damn auditorium!! I remember the days when you could walk around the audi and see players sittin at the long tables with fans, having a drink, signing random autographs. Im still a lil disapointed with the arrive up and sneak out the back stairs approach. But other than that its all good!

i agree - 9:30 is too late to start an after game function

Well it is unfortunate that our last home game is a night time one, but we cannot fault the club for putting it on regardless of the time/date.
Not every fucntion will suit every person.... for me this one is absolutely fantastic!!!

The Problem that both Hellsy and I were so upset about in the 2005 and 2006 season was firstly that there were so many Sunday games without a PMF, and after every game, regardless of time of day, we could find the entire team down at the Royal Oak or the Rose, having an official function for after the game in which the WAGS and their Kids could relax with the boys.

I don't see it as much different if the boys do a warm down swim, at the Leagues club, get dressed, walk to the auditorium, walk up on stage, some have an interview, step down, shake a few hands sign a few autographs get a few photos and then walk down to the Wentworth Room to do the same thing as they used to do at the Oak or the Rose where they meet their partners, and where the kids could have been waiting.

Fair Dinkum! Why aren't they doing this after the warriors game? Don't they realise i'm coming over from adelaide especially? :sarcasm:

This is another reason, along with people like Colonel coming down, why it should be after every game. Sure for those of us that see them all the time we might thing it is a bit much, but for those that see them rarely it is a big thrill, as I said at the 2006 AGM, we need to have constant events that allow infrequent visitors to meet their idols.
