The lack of development in JA’s game because he spent a lot of last year on the bench can’t be underestimated. The bloke needs to be out there plying his trade for 80 in order to improve.

He played half the year in reserve grade plus all that NRL exposure. He is still eligible for Flegg and defending like a first grader already. His development is fine.

Watched the game on replay with the benefit of fast fwd on occasions.
In summary not great. Our halves and marker defence were our biggest let downs.
Praise for Mataele, Cini, Lumelume, Greig and Jontay Junior.
Doorey not bad and Russell was handy as well. Didnt mind the look and effort of Yates.
Not impressed by Moimoisea. See nothing to be remotely excited by him.
Really hope Doorey and Murchie are ahead of him for the right 2nd row spot.
I know we have Asi as a backup half but Rankin should not be a half in reserve grade. Give a young bloke that spot to develop them. Rankin should only have the clipboard...
