Predictions 2019

Ivans already showing that he and Nathan run the club. He's moved a guy whos played over 200 first grade games, won 2 comps, played 12 origins and 3 Test matches from the left side where he's played his entire First Grade Career to appease his son who wants to play there

200 first grade games, 2 comps, 12 origins, and 3 test matches don't make up for his woeful defence. Arguably the worst defender in the league. Which is the real reason for the move.

Hedged next to Yeo (Our best defender) makes more sense than next to Kikau.

So why not just swap Yeo and Kikau? Surely that makes more sense then completely changing both sides?

He's being pretty conservative with his predictions. A bit of jostling and he's swapped Nth QLD for the dragons.

Some of his ups and downs are hard to figure out. Warriors going top 4 is either completely insane or genius, and it's hard to see Penrith dropping down the ladder unless they have a horror injury run (like last time Ivan was coach.. maybe Vossy's onto something)

Because Kikau formed a lethal left edge with Blake over the back half of last year. It would be nuts to split those two up. Blake can play both sides but Whare prefers right edge. I have only seen Kikau play left edge and a bit in the middle.
Correct me if I am wrong but when Maloney won his 2 comps he had very reliable defenders of Cordner (Roosters) and Wade Graham (sharks) outside him for most of those years. Maloney needs a body guard outside him.

So many people leaving the Sharks out of their top 8.

No problem, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

As a Sharks supporter I find it interesting on the trend that a lot of opposition supporters see Cronulla not going very well this year.

I think we will miss flanno
but still get there in the end

This Year?

Rothfield has picked dragons to finish 1st and win the GF.

My sincere condolences dragons fans.
Lock us in for the spoon now because I also predicted the same thing and I'm a notoriously poor tipper.

I tipped Parra to win the comp last season and they got their season ended in round 2.

Considering most clubs attack down their left hand side due to most players being right handed, moving Maloney to the right hand side goes against your idea. The right hand side defenders wind up usually making more tackles than those defending on the left.

Probably best you stick to commentating Vossy.

And they formed it because they were fed good ball by Maloney. I guess Daddy wants Nathan to get the glory now.

Hence Yeo.

Its more so got to do with Yeo v Kikau. Yeo is excellent in defense (Better than Cordner I might add). Will be a similar story to the career of old mate Tonie 'The Hitman' Carroll.

Not a guaranteed success. We will know soon enough.

I haven't sat in on an Andrew Johns coaching clinic on the underrated left pass. Its been said that its a skill only reserved for the true greats of the game. But I imagine it goes something like this:

1.) Catch the ball (Most people take this for granted)
2.) Pass it left* (In this case, Kikau)

*Lasers and targets always!

Lets hope Nathan is working overtime to get that one right.
