I wasn't at the game, but I believe Roman will be with BRET not us. We've basically told BRET that we're fine with the players we have thanks. The chopping and changing wasn't doing anyone any good.

Good luck for the rest of the season... Would be great to see the Magpies do well for the rest of the season - though not at our expense again, thank you very much!

The Bulldogs Premier League side have continued their winning ways with a 36-16 victory over the Auckland Lions at Mt Smart Stadium this afternoon.

The blue-and-whites have now won six-on-the-trot and remain at the top of the VB Premier League ladder after 12 rounds.

Last time the two sides met it was a thrilling 32-28 win in favour of the Sherwin led 'Dogs - a much tighter encounter than today's proceedings.

Billy Ngawini was impressive at hooker, scoring a four-pointer and saving one as he shut down a play destined for a run-away try.

Halfback Daniel Holdsworth was again impressive in his second game in Premier League, scoring another try and directing the pups around the park.

Trent Cutler continued his try scoring streak with his sixth try in just three games for the Premier League Bulldogs. Add to that his six tries from nine appearances in the top grade throughout the season.

Centre Damon Alley Tovio was ruled out of the match and was replaced by Nathan Armit while Adam Fielder wore the number 19 on the bench.

The Bulldogs will face the 6th placed Newtown Jets at Henson Park after their 26-20 loss at the hands of Newcastle.

Tries: 6
Trent Cutler (2), Tom Kerr, Billy Ngawini, Daniel Holdsworth, Adam Fielder

Goals: 6
Brent Crisp (6)

Should be a good game mate. Are you going. I think Jets will continue to struggle with the recent changes in their lineup unfortunately.

I thought Ngawini was outstanding for the Dogs against the Lions. Quite a few of
his family was there egging him on.....great stuff.

Raiders should not be doing as badly as they are. I lay the blame squarely at the feet of the coach. Then again, when you hire a local PE teacher you're asking for trouble.

Maggies 42 - Knights 38

sounds like only a couple more tackles made than the Roosters-Cows game but we'll take the two yet again.

Look out Bears.

When is the Bears and the Panthers played?
They called the match off due to the weather. So i'm not sure when it will be re-scheduled for.

I actually work with the "Assistant" coach Jeremy "ROBO" in his full time job . He used to play for the Raiders himself years ago and has a good footy head as well as still being fit. The guys knocked over Parra last weekend, and have lost a few games by les than a few points. Been a little unlucky, but I expect they will come good and be strong contenders in the eight as usual come semi time. Especially with the likes of Nigel PLUM backing up their ranks.

Yeah, apart from the Bulldogs (when we were right in the game up until the third tackle) we've been in very solid form since we stopped chopping and changing with BRET. There's no reason the side can't make the eight, which considering the start we gave the field would be very fine performance. The last two weeks we've got home in close ones against sides sitting equal second. These are games in past years we would have lost by a couple of points.

Good show mate. Hope to see Bears and Wests in the eight this year. That would be great. As long as Jets prevail of coarse. LOL....

Wests Magpies 35 - 32 North Sydney Bears...

Three wins in a row for the Magpies, can they keep this up?
