Eels beat Jets 41 to 26.

Jets were leading 6 nil and then 10 to 6, however Eels came back with a vengeance at at one stage were 34 to 12 leaders.

Second highest points scored by a team against the Eels all season thus far though, with manlys 32 to 28 win against them being the most they have had conceded against them in a game. And cougars 25 points last weekend being the third most.

We will get em at henson as we have done the last TWO season though !!!!!

Eels are STILL the side to beat for sure in 2006 !!!!!

That is an unbelievably high scoring draw.

yeah well I guess we can at least be happy we don't have a problem scoring points.

If only we knew how to defend ;-)

Parramatta returned to its winning ways this weekend as they ran out 41 to 26 victors over the Newtown Jets at Parramatta stadium to finish off the Round 14 VB Premier League action.
The win now sees the Eel’s four points clear of the newly formed grid lock for second place, with the Sharks, Raiders, Cougars and Dragons all locked on 16 points, and the Tigers, Sea Eagles and Jets just sitting one point behind that group.

Only seven points separate second to eleventh in what has so far been one of the closest VB Premier League seasons on record. With the exception of the Bulldogs and Wests, every team is well placed to make the finals.

Round Twelve Results:
Friday May 26:
Newcastle Knights 16 drew with St George-Illawarra Dragons 16 at EnergyAustralia Stadium
Wests Magpies 24 lost to the Bulldogs 42 at Campbelltown Stadium

Saturday May 27:
Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks 34 defeated St Mary's-Penrith Cougars 16 at Toyota Park

Sunday May 28:
Parramatta Eels 41 defeated Newtown Jets 26 at Parramatta Stadium
South Sydney Rabbitohs 40 drew with Balmain-Ryde Eastwood Tigers 40 at Telstra Stadium
North Sydney Bears 10 lost to Canberra Raiders 54 at North Sydney Oval

Yeah it was a big loss.

In the North Shore Times today it says the Bears have gone in the market and will be signing 3 new players today.

I wonder who?

Only two points separate second to eighth place in the 2006 NSWRL VB Premier League ladder, as competition continues to tighten in the state tournament.
Parramatta kicked off proceedings on Friday night at a wet Oki Jubilee Stadium, winning 28 to 18 against the St George-Illawarra Dragons to keep their four point buffer at the top of the ladder.

Newtown scrapped home against the North Sydney Bears in their game at Henson Park on Saturday, winning 22 to 16, whilst Canberra shot to second on the ladder after a convincing 60 to 4 victory over South Sydney at Canberra Stadium.

The Bulldogs found their fourth win of the season to slowly start moving back into finals contention with a 24 to 16 victory over the Newcastle Knights, whilst Manly were too strong for the St Mary's-Penrith Cougars at Western Weekender Stadium.

Balmain-Ryde Eastwood defeated Cronulla-Sutherland in the only VB Premier League game played on Sunday.
