As Players Union president Clint Newton said on the footy show last night, a player can't be forced out - they have to want to go.

This means Parra will have to offer financial inducements to help them agree...which must come off the salary cap. Hope all the players play hard ball with them.

Love to see Watmough tell them to stick retirement. He's contracted for this year & next, if he's smart, he retires next year.

Watmough was already seeking retirement and a big payout via the medical insurance, 4 years pay for only playing 1 year, why not.
The biggest hurdle there is convincing an insurance company that retiring due to your knees despite having multiple issues with them in the past is a new injury :roll:

The whole thing is a work to keep the illusion of an even comp and keep the money flowing.

The broadcasters run the show. A few years ago, Easts came stone motherless last. Next season they get 5 of the first 6 games on FTA. Apparently, they rate well but no coincidence the Easts mafia led the C9 boss gave them a massive leg up.

Parra have a big supporter base and have been shit for ages. Nine want at least 1 western Sydney team going well. Playing for points keeps the story going. The administrators are the bad guys. Peats is the sacrificial lamb. It's just a pantomine
