Never in my mind since our last Premiership in 1986, did I think I'd be at the age I am now in 2023 and still yet to see another title. I was at each and every grand final in the 80's and it was amazing.

It is disgusting that there are so many on here that still defend our lack of success since those years.
We are clearly the biggest club in Sydney with the most support and very decent resources. There are no excuses that we have been so unsuccessful, only that our club has been run along political lines and has been a shambles. We finally cleared out the vermin in management, but nothing seems to have changed since.
Parramatta used to be the pride of the league. We are now the joke and that saddens me.
We honestly should be what Penrith are now but they are making a mockery of us with their success.

Until we have a management that is absolutely ruthless, who sorts out our junior recruitment and development, who buys wisely on the market and is intent on long term success, we will continue to be just almost there, but never.
We've been gifted the best local Sydney stadium in the NRL, we have a financially strong Leagues Club, we have a city centre that is growing like no other, so commercially there are so many corporate opportunities sitting on our doorstep, and we also have a massively growing population in our region. Transport to Parra will be the best of any Sydney ground within 12 months.
Despite what the apologists continue to say, it's not good enough that we are where we are.
We should be a Roosters, or Panthers, not a f**king Tigers or Bulldogs or Dragons. At least they have all won a comp in the past 37 years.

NO MORE EXCUSES ARE ACCEPTABLE.

Mate, its completely not on what we have failed to acheive for 37 years. People like Pou (troll), or even Gronk and Stagger, can say what they want.
How anyone can accept and continually make excuses for our lack of success over that period of time is just beyond me.
I'm sick of being "almost there".
I don't want us to become the next North Sydney Bears.
Top 8 every year is non-negotiable for a club of our size and potential.

You have a look at how Penrith getting all of their players in all grades buying in to the club and the processes.

They had a special jersey for their finals campaign commemorating the teams that won in the past.. They had a belt as undisputed champs. They have the winning mentality.

Where our club are all about the individual.

* and Emjaycee...

Stagger 2023 seems highly critical of the club.

It's not even that. I absolutely admire that level of professionalism that the Panthers are showing with those little things.
It's the fact we can't even get our basic recruitment right to make us competitive is what bugs me.
We can't even get the most basic simple things correct.
I felt quite positive when we had a new board put in place. One of them I have dealt with personally and who I know is really passionate about our club, yet, I have seen no change in the attitude from the club.
The Dolphins jag Herbie Farnworth ahead of time yet we are chasing that clown now from where, Manly?
It is not good enough.
And don't believe the turd sandwiches that Pou states. We actually do have the resources.

Nothing will change until our coaching staff are out of here.
1 coach. 10 years. No success.
Time for change, and we need a board who has the balls to make that change.

Roosters have a poor year replace all of their assistant coaches... BA keeps the same yes men

Back when I was still an idiot seventeen year old with inexplicable confidence in our side I would’ve written this year off as a blip on the radar, confident we’d just come back to win it next year. I had the dumb confidence at that point I thought it’d be a great idea to have ‘EELS’ stamped across the back of my year 12 jersey for 2009… I may have looked like Nostradamus had it not been for the scum f**ks. That kind of blind faith in this team has been beaten out of me in the years since, now look I’ll give BA some credit I do think he helped get us out of the hell of the mid 2010s however I think where he can lead this team has well and truly peaked at this point. I still question how he though a Nathan Brown who wasn’t good enough to crack our side all year last year was good enough to be in the Grand Final, and don’t get me started on his son being on the bench with no plan to use him. I’ve said it before here, this club really needs to borrow from the NBA mentality when it comes to the coaching staff as a whole at this point, produce the one result that actually means anything or f**k off.

Our board seem scared to change and so risk averse to everything.

We have lacked a ruthless edge for a long time.

Look at Penrith bringing back Ivan cleary from the Tigers.

They took a huge punt and went behind Gus's back.

Time to roll the dice and do something it's why I keep saying throw 2-3 million at Bennett for 2025 to give Gutho and Moses era one last push for a premiership. I don't care if he wants to stay in QLD. Offer him a deal he literally can't refuse.

Yeah how unlucky how many Immortals have we come up against in our 3 GF losses.

Johns and you can bet Smith, Slater and Cleary will become one's eventually.

Fmd how lucky did the basket case joint ventures in the Tigers and Dragons get on there 1 and only GF day this century in 2005 the Tigers got a Cowboys team who also never played in a GF and the Dragons got the Chooks who had Brian Smith who didn't know how to win a premiership along with Mitch Pearce at Halfback with Melbourne rubbed out of the comp.

Its an interesting one. Tigers and Dragons popped their cookies in a massive way and have then been shooting blanks ever since. We've at least had a reasonable level of semen flow over many years even if we haven't had a money shot.

Either way, I think the club should be consistently contending and winning a GF more frequently than we have. Missing the 8 this year was a big step backwards.

Yeah, Tigers got lucky the minor premiers choked hard to the Cowboys. The Dragons also got to avoid one of the teams who beat them in the finals the year before because they couldn’t be f**ked to try and get to a second Grand Final in a row. Anyone remember who those teams were?
