The first thing for Mr Doyle to do when he starts is to ask to see Dean Bell in his office. The second would be to fire his ass!

Interesting that our 'source' has completely contradicted both McFadden and Bell

Someone is lying

I work in Media, I know the warriors have tabled an offer for Matai and Watmough, the issue is Manly releasing them, that's where the creativity comes in. Otherwise it would be a 2016 deal.

You think Dean Bell will admit they are looking short term ? if they fail to sign anyone people will be calling for his head.

The 2 super league players I heard they are after are Iain Thornley and Mose Masoe.

And Sam Lousi will suck at rugby union, no way he will be a success there. But fair enough if he can pick up a pay day.

 the other Warriors forum would jizz if we got Masoe. See his name mentioned every day.

Can't say I know much about Thornley so I googled and this was the first article from 5 days ago.

Season ending knee injury, bad luck and no thanks.

I don't doubt we've put the feelers out to Matai/Watmough, but still believe Watmough will sign with the Eels once Manly are done and dusted.

I expect a ton of stuff to come out once the Eagles are done for the year.

I'm not saying I'm buying into these deals actually happening (though I hope so) but...

Of course any deal would be torpedoed in the media - they kept refusing to acknowledge the Tomkins signing when everyone knew it was done for months.

Matai & Watmough are precisely the kind of hardheaded players that, frankly, we need. Masoe would be a nice signing, and I suppose Thornley could be a good one as well. Not my favourite (or even my 2nd favourite) Wigan back, but there is certainly talent there.

As for Lousi, he's tall, a bit soft and quite average... sounds like more than half of Australia's lock stocks. He should fit in well. Seriously though, the Waratahs coach is very good - if anyone could get him playing either code at a top level that's the kind of coach needed to do it.

Thornely would be interesting and a departure from our Big edge players.

Speed, tidy player, Bit of a Jason Nightingale mold of winger....not a creator....true finisher.

Need a good center to make that work, someone more experienced than ours or in Danes case someone that can play ball.

Mose has that thing potential but he's big lump without motivation he is a waste of space.

Might have been good at Melbourne, coming to the Warriors could be horrible.

We need tough players.

So far out of these rumored names only Matai and Choc fit that bill. Watmough coming here I'm a septic about whether that's even reality.

Matai. Well who knows, he wants to come, the Warriors want him, they're just not allowed to say they want him anymore.

No point arguing anymore, lets call it a day and see how it all pans out.
Anything can happen with the Warriors really

I hope we're not chasing Masoe & Watmough, we don't need to introduce grub into our team

Thornley seems a bit pointless if we can get the Fish back up and running, we have Laumape to cover wing too.

Of the lot, Matai would be a nice signing

Vilasanti was a grub.

I miss having one good grub in the team the rest are scared of.

Campion was a very niggly player. That shot he put on Webke being one example.

Watmough i dislike intensely, right up until he pulls on our jersey then i love him.

Not that I think for a second that we will get Watmough.

Yep, Watmough no grubbier than Campion, probably less and a much better player... but seems pretty clear he's going to the Eels

I never liked Villasanti, and look how quickly he faded away.
Point taken with Campion though

Graham Lowe on RS talking Warriors recruitment , very interesting

hmmm, haven't listened, but tbh this twat emerges on every occasion the Warriors struggle... and Wigan aside, hugely overrated as a coach

He made some good points though ( most of them wee been saying for ages) but one was if you listed the top 30 players in the nrl no warrior would feature in it. He basically said Tomkins was a waste of money Johnson is overrated and our current squad just isn't good enough and will never be good enough until we recruit properly and pay for the top players to come over here

He did however say that he thought TL was the best player in our squad so maybe he's on the juice.

What was interesting yesterday is hearing Bells interveiw on RS saying he thought Mannering was the only player on Sunday that should up , the rest just simply didn't turn up , my view is that at this level of a player can't turn up with the right attitude then they should be shown the door regardless of who the are. There's no accountability in this playing group and I beleive the culture has been rotten from day one

lmfao well that will do me.

Hurrell and Mannering featured in the NRL team of the year (rightly or not) so that squashes that stupid theory as well. Lowe is clueless as always

A few more guys other than Mannering showed up vs Penrith
Manu, Johnson, Tomkins, Lillyman did the best they could with the passengers around them

 at TL being the best player in the squad...

Impossible to rank a top 30, but when you're talking about the best 5 or so playerers (10 for wing, centre, back row, prop) I think all of Vatuvei, Mannering, Lillyman (he played SOO FFS) are in those discussions... Hurrell obviously has huge potential...

So, maybe he's not too far wrong, I have 3 in the elite and I don't really see a sensible argument for any others... and the Roosters, Penrith and some others less startlingly showed that we simply are not good enough on any level.

I've despised Graham Lowe ever since after the Dogs 03 playoff game where he came out the and said they might as well cancel the finals series and hand the Warriors the trophy. He's gotten increasingly annoying ever since.

Go out and buy the best players. Get tired of hearing this.

He makes it sound like we haven't been trying. The best players have a lot of options why would they uproot their family to come here unless there was a massive offer made, and with the media opportunities and TPA's available in the Sydney/QLD market any offer we could afford probably wouldn't be that much better than what they could already get.
