predators was one of the worst pieces of shit ever filmed. I'm a massive fan of the aliens/predator franchises but AVP2 and Predators is everything wrong with modern day films. incredibly stupid characters, cliched plots and a duming down of things in order to make more special effects
Just home from seeing it with a mate. I thought it was pretty good.
For me the biggest surprise was.The Space Jockeys are humanoids
To be honest I was really on the look out for clues as to the tie in of the events of "Alien".
The picture of what looks remarkably like an Alien Queen in the room with the giant head and the vases.
I have a few questions about those missing 30-odd years between Prometheus and Alien
The planet in this film is LV-326 or something. The planet in the first 2 Alien films was LV-426 and this is obviously where Shaw and David took off to at the end of the film. How does one of the left over ships end up on LV-426 to be discovered by the Nostromo in Alien? Or are there eggs on the ship that Shaw and David flew away in?
What we see burst out of the Space Jockey before the credits role is obviously a fully grown Xenomorph. Is this an Alien Queen that eventually produces the eggs that spawn face huggers?
And if the space jockey that is killed at the end was the only one still alive, how does that explain the space jockey in Alien?
I reckon there's a story to be told in between Prometheus and Alien.
Prometheus was the first film in a trilogy,
Saw it today, enjoyed it.
One thing that I dont understand is how can Predators have been fighting xenomorphs for thousands of years when it appears that these creatures are a fairly new creation?
This is an interesting read. Perhaps reading too much into the plot? Who knows...

"Space Jesus"
I liked Predators for the reason that it captured the spirit of the original; jungle, a pack of bad ass killers being stalked by another pack of bad ass killers. And "Long Tall Sally" playing over the end credits! Come on man!
After the AVP flicks Predators was a breath of fresh air!
