I would like to suggest that the "Save Our Saints" Campaign continues......at least the players are responding to it on the field.......but a win over an injury riddled Manly is nothing to crow about.....

Campaign won't stop at anything.

Wins on the board is awesome, never want to see this team fail, that what the fight is against the board and not the team.

We made it clear to the players on twitter that we support them all the way and that #SaveOurSaints has nothing to do with them, rather the board. Whether they give a rats ass or not, our club is on shambles if we like it or not and that's the truth. Can't veer away from that thanks to our front office. I'm sure many of you ain't happy about that and want to see a change.

I agree we need to score more points but I am glad that we are start to become the white wall of wollongong again. Over the first 4 rounds we will be either the 2nd or 3rd best defensive side depending on how the cowboys go.
The two minor premierships and premiership of the bennett era were built on the fact that we defended teams out of the game.
I believe that our attack will keep getting better, there were plenty of opportunities last night that will stick in the future. Aitken could have passed to nabuli, Widdop could have gone through the hands instead of trying a huge cut out, dugan could have passed to widdop on that last play in the first half etc etc.
We have forced more drop outs than any other team, made more metres than most teams and defended as well as the top tier sides.
The formula is there.

They haven't played much yet. Warriors first up who always start the season poorly, an out of form Cowboys, the lowly Titans, and an under strength Penrith who have a surprisingly poor record when coming off a Monday nighter.

Their squad is full of ex-Dragons: Leilua, Stockwell, Scott, Smith, not to mention 2 Sims brothers who were born and raised in Gerringong.

We always seem to go ok up there, apart from last season.........

Under Price we played many games where they had more possession than the opposition and lost. Matai was the only casualty at kickoff. The rest got injured during the game. Give them some credit. You can only play what is in front of you.

we got the 2 points - be happy with this, we all know it wasnt a good performance and there is still plenty of improvements, but it could have been worse - the dud Manly team could have won .

We need to score more points. Our for and against is starting to spiral out of control again. Apart from the Cowboys, who have a game in hand, we have the worst points for.

Taking the 2 points early on bought back memories of 2010 and the defensive effort for the 80 min kept those memories rolling.
Hopefully the confidence taken from this game will result in more positive play resulting in points.
We still don't have the cattle to make a push for finals footy .
