I have supported the tigers since 1987, I haven't seen them in the finals since 1990, and not once have I ever carried on about my team like you are, and to be honest, I can't recall any fellow tigers fans acting in a similar way to you.

You are being petulant and downright pathetic.

Tigers fan?
Arn't you a sharks fan?

It's pathetic to claim and you know it.

Nowhere will it be entered in record books, and it's just something to claim for the sake of it. The record books will always have you at #3, Tigers at #4. Very simple. In case you forgot, we were founded in 1935 so saying worst since that year is a load of sh*t and you know it.

The worst loss since the year you came into the comp, and everybody knows teams arent that good in their first year, so yeah it does mean something

Dodger, f**k off, you're an absolute goose who is showing some of the most childish and shameful behaviour after a loss. Grow up.

Go the Tigers! What a great run of form

Premierships aren't won in August, though (Brisbane managed to do it in 2000, but that's another story)

The Cowboys will still win the premiership........

I've seen Manly fans do it. Jay Melbourne, St George-Illawarra they made the finals in their very first year the Dragons even made the grand final in 99 the first year of the joint venture but they lost to Melbourne by 2 little points.

The bloke is a genius. So stoked that channel 9 gave him the MOM, good to see them recognise what all us Tiger's fans know.

Hodgo is the heart of this football team.

Tigers end Bulldogs' horror NRL season

19 August 2005

Wests Tigers confirmed their tag as the hottest team in the NRL with a 54-2 thrashing of the Bulldogs which all but ended the premiers' injury-plagued season.

The Tigers extended their club record winning streak to eight games to consolidate their top four position while the Dogs have only a mathematical shot at the finals and can start planning their end of season trip following a miserable week both on and off the field.

Bulldogs star forward Sonny Bill Williams was charged with drink driving on Wednesday and the club was forced to defend allegations that three players were ejected from a Central Coast nightclub recently for being intoxicated.

The Bulldogs suffered their fourth straight loss in front of a record crowd of 29,542 for a Tigers home game at the Olympic Stadium.

The premiers have conceded 110 points over their past two matches, including last week's 56-4 hiding at the hands of Parramatta - their worst defeat since 1935.

It was ironic that on a weekend of football celebrating the 1970s, it was the new breed of Tigers who emerged as the dominant force in the NRL, in particular electric halves Benji Marshall and Scott Prince.

New Zealand international centre Paul Whatuira bagged two of the Tigers' four tries in the opening half as the home side went to the break leading 24-2.

Former NSW fullback Brett Hodgson was again excellent in support play and grabbed a club record personal haul of 22 points from a try and nine goals.

The premiers applied all the pressure in the early stages but could only come up with a Luke Young penalty goal in the eighth minute

Wests used quick hands to create overlaps and grabbed two long-range tries, including an 80m effort to Marshall.

The 20-year-old five-eighth had a hand in a 47th minute try, knocking back a Robbie Farah grubber which rebounded off a Bulldogs defender for winger Pat Richards to score an easy try.

Sharp-shooter Hodgson slotted home his fifth conversion for a 30-2 scoreline and he then steamed onto a Todd Payten pass to cross under the posts in the 56th minute.

A clever "no look" pass from Prince to Hodgson in the 65th minute helped set up Whatuira's third try before the No.7 got a solo try with 10 minutes remaining.

Prince was involved in a late try to Richards which blew out the scoreline to 54-2.

I was being generous and waiting until next week to say see you next year to the doggies.

Well done Tigers!

But having said that - if u HADN'T put 50 on us tonight...given our....hmmmm, ok to be kind shall we say - 'efforts' tonight - then that would have been a disgrace on YOU!! ;-)

Apart from a few absolute IDIOTS at and around the ground afterwards, trying to disgracefully bait Dogs' fans after the win - women & children included - which the Dogs fans did VERY well to ignore - you were pretty decent & passionate.

Hodgson would've been nothing without Brian Smith

Great year by him tho not wishing any harm to him but it would be very interesting to see where the Tigers would be without Hodgson might even be worse then if Prince or Benji were out

Hmmmm - That's as maybe - BUT - A man that supports 2 teams - whilst his team is STILL in the running for the title (however REMOTE that may be!! ;-) ) - is not much a man at all, I am afraid....

When semis time come around - I can let bygones be bygones...and I will be riding the Tigers all the way!...A bright, flair-filled attacking footy side - playing footy the way it SHOULD be played!... What can I say??...Any fair dinkum footy fan just HAS to applaud that!!

C O M P L E T E L Y unlike the Sharks, hey?! I can see whay you'd want to switch at this point in proceedings!

Even if I would NEVER do so myself....

We're doing a pretty good job on here. It was just unforunate that the doggies didn't make good on their 2 line breaks.
