Bleh.

Highlights of the night for me -

*Catching a little football chucked by some marketing boffins into the crowd...except then looked at it, and along with some company logo - it also had a Tigers emblem on it - so I gave it to a little girl in a Tigers jersey sitting in front of me!

*The Tigers cheergirls being situated smack bang in front of us for much of the game! :)

*But top prize for the night goes to the ab-so-lutely HAMMERED Tigers fan in front of us who was screaming himself hoarse all night - despite not having a CLUE what was going on! Actually stood up on his seat once to give Clark an absolute foul-mouthed GOBFUL - till his mate pointed out that in fact - the TIGERS had got the penalty he was raving about - and dragged him back down off the seat - at which point this idiot went tit over @rse landing on a group of wholly unimpressed Tigers fans in front of him!...Then at one stage when all was pretty quiet - he yells out at the top of this voice COME ON YOU MIGHTY BULLDOGS!...ER...TIIIIGERRRRSSSSS! The whole BAY - Dogs and Tigers fans alike were shaking their heads and laughing at this melon for 80 solid minutes - Very entertaining!

F**k you, idiot, you're the one who's acting childish and started the name calling for something not involving you!

We put 56 on them for the record, 10 tries, and I'm not bitching and complaining, merely wondering why we get called pretenders when we score more points, and the Tigers become contenders by doing less!

Not involving me?

Threads about tonites game, in which MY team won.

Whatrs your team got to do with this?

Oh thats right, youre having this mega hissy-fit because we've stolen youre limelight?

Ive never noticed you before, hardly surprising, but boy...you are a real f**kwit aint ya?

Unit with this one we're :BDH: . He doesn't understand that you can be passionate about more than 1 team.

Hodgo is on 250k mate, get real, 200k? The Eels offered 120k because of his injury record, the Tigers knew what he was capable of if he got over the injuries and offered 250k so of course he took it. If the Eels matched the offer, I guarantee he'd still be with us today.

Actually you dumb f**ker, Prince is our top paid player on 220k. I gurantee you Hodgo wouldn't be with you. So f**k off.

No, Brian Smith did pick Hodgson out of nowhere as a nobody and turned him into an Origin player, and the Tigers only got him due to the amount of money thrown at him. He's playing his career best Footy now, but without Smithy he'd be nowhere. Credit where credit's due.

Nah, Hodgo was one of the only Wests players to stand up in 1999, in an abysmal team. I was at every home game and anyone who sat through that rubbish could see it.

Smith dropped him in 2003 and he came home.

As good as he was in 2001, he's much better in 2005.

Actually, it's because he wanted to come home.

120k is not the figure i've heard, i've heard 150k. Wouldn't calle 200 ALOT more. Nor would I call it the only reason he came to the Tigers. But you can live in your fantasy world where Brian Smith save players like Morrison and Tahu from being nobody's and where Mackinnon is the number 1 fullback in the game.

We'll take Hodgo and know he's a local product thanks.

Um, I actually remember the hoo-haa that surrounded that transfer - and it was DEFINITELY for the $$$ he went, I'm afraid mate....Parra offered him virtually nothing....and he naturally went looking elsewhere.

It didn't involve you because I wasn't talking to you, or about you, so you decide to get involved calling me a dickhead and then tell me to grow up?

F**k off kid, your Mum will be upset you stayed up this late

true that

http://www.rayhadley.com.au/cgi-bin/2004-editorial.pl?A=ViewItem&ID=35

It’s hard to argue with Parramatta’s move to reduce their offer to fullback Brett Hodgson for next season.
It was only this time last year that Hodgson played Origin football.
And in 2001, when the Eels won the minor premiership, Hodgson was in scintillating form, blitzing defences week in, week out.
But like many of the Parramatta players, Hodgson has been way down in form this season and he’s now set to pay the penalty.
I’ve been told Hodgson asked the Eels for around $250,000 a season, but Parra were only willing to come up with $150,000.
As a result, I think we might see Hodgson playing for the Wests Tigers in 2004, with the joint-venture club prepared to pay him around $230,000 a year.
Several other Eels stars could also be in for pay cuts and, on form, they cannot argue with the lesser offers.

That's not my memory of the situation. Regardless Brett himself told me main attraction was coming home to play for the club that brought him through. He's a great, great blokeand I'll take him at his word, rather than your memory.

Youve only been here a few months you blow in.

What the f**k would you know?

Other than the Tigers upstaging Parra.

I agree he's better now than he was in 2001, he's more of a leader now and I think he's more crucial to the Tigers' success than Prince or Marshall. But he was ALOT better in 2001 than in '99, and that was because of the Eels. Not that innsaneink would even consider this, too busy wetting himself over tonight's game.

Your idiot reading has increased alarmingly. FFS, it seems like you are still yet to celebrate your win last Friday, because you're still too obsessed over gloating about it on a message board with someone whose team is in better form than yours.

Please refer to the Why I hate Parramatta thread.
