How can people argue with these pictures? It is clear as day he stepped on the line

Last time Origin was in Melb, Qld got shocking decisions, including the video ref missing a clear knock-on from (I think) Hodgson in the lead up to a NSW try.

Still, Qld were the better side, recovered and won the game.

Suck it up NSW, you weren't good enough.

Great post. Hodgson, the Carroll decision, Qld just go balls to the wall and figured out a way to win in 2006.

NSW put more energy into the after match press conference b1tching about decisions then they did in capitialising on their attack up the middle.

1-0, eat it, live it.

"oh oh if we would have got that try where he stepped on the line we would have won.....oh ..oh ref..bloody ref...bloody queenslanders.....oh god oh god.."

nsw merkins are so soft, such whiny softcocks im amazed they can even stand upright, and im pretty sure their wrists tilt downwards, and their hair is all spikey and sh*t...

I thought the refs/video refs were outstanding with their decision-making. I agreed with pretty much every decision, and I definitely agreed with every try/no-try decision. I was especially impressed by the TRY decision from the Hayne "forward pass", because it looked so ugly and would have been called back 9 times out of 10, but the refs applied the rules and imo got it right.

With things like the Hayne "foot on the line" call, the video refs would've copped a bagging either way. People are so obsessed with bagging the refs they can't seem to recognise that these "damned if they do, damned if they don't" situations come up in every game.

 They are amazing. They truly are unique (but not in a good way, trust me). Their whining and bitching just makes the victory feel oh so much better.

Keep going I say. Love watching how they take a loss like little girls....

His heel is off the ground you blind sh*t.
How can you possibly say that?:?
I'll concede that the decision was a very difficult one but the right one.
Look at the stills.

And as for Queensland would not have scored, please, have some perspective.
In all honestly I think NSW would have lost by possibly more because Queensland wouldn't have got complacent and let NSW in the game.
Queensland let NSW back in the game because they got too relaxed.

LOL u deadsh*t,, no QUALMS about it!!!! why did they look at it almost 12 times then if it was that clear cut ?? Can u tell me me if his heel was over the line and wether it actualy touched it or was 3 mm above it :x??? NO U CANT!!! So stop wanking on and talking crap. There was friggin DOUBT with a capital D, and just like 1989 GF Bill made his own f**king rule up and screwed a good game up before it even got going.

Hello Mr Angry Eyes.

It was on the line.

Period.

Deal with it.

Unlike NRL games, th refs didnt decide the outcome of this game.
Yes some fifty fifty calls might of gone QLD way, but QLD in that first half dominated and played such awesome football to get a good lead.
When NSW dominated they werent able to put points on the board. They scored off two deflections!
The only thing bad I could say about the ref is in fact Ben Creaghs Try.
Yes Hayne was in field of play and you can't rule on forward passes, but one, Its a knock on not a forward pass and two, whether he ran out or not the ref should make the call that it is a forward pass, despite of the fact if Hayne had gone out or not, He should know once he goes to the video ref they can't call on a forward pass (even though it was a knock on, cause he batted it back in) and there fore make the call of forward pass on the field instead of going to the video ref.

The refs I think all round were good. There was a chip where billy slater said to have knocked on where he kicked it. When michael crocker got carried over the sideline, if that was someone diving on a loose ball and getting carried over it would of been a penalty, that should of been a penalty, Robbie Farah was miles offside when Lockyer went for field goal, plenty of calls both ways.

Queensland won because they were able to put points on the board when they were dominating!

Question, when lockyer took the field gold shot, how far offside was Farah?

No conspiracies here mate. Calls went both ways all night. That's football.

It doesnt matter what a rear shot, above shot, reverse underwater infra red shot shows, as long as ONE shot clearly shows his foot touching the line like that shot does then thats all that matters. There can be no question

You obviously havent heard of perception of distance

You must be one of those people they make those "Objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear" stickers for.

The rear angle clearly showed there was a gap between his foot and the line - therefore the try should have been allowed.

I was watching the game last night with a German guy who had never seen League before. He looked at the screen and then asked "Why are the referees sponsered by the same company as Queensland?"

Exactly.
LOL Some of you blokes are trying to convince yourselves people run on their toes:lol:
You cannot exert speed without pushing from your heel!

Christ, I hope you guys don't have careers in anatomy and physiology!

His foot is clearly on the line, barely on it but quite clearly...it was a hard call but the right decision.
I can honestly say some of you need to get some perspective with your sour grapes.

What did Hunt do?
What didn't Slater do? He was fantastic and his defence was outstanding - Hunt would have let in the tries that Slater saved.

In saying that Queensland were extremely disappointing last night and were lucky not to be embarrassed - Underperformed massively.

Sorry mate but that is a load of crap. Go and watch Olympic sprinters and there heals don’t touch the ground at all! When you sprint you run off the balls of your feet and your power is exerted from pushing off the ground with the balls of your feet. Go out to a park and go for a quick 40m sprint and you’ll find that you don’t use your heal at all.

Anyway to the photos:
The front shot on replay shows that Hayne heel is over the line but it cant be decided from the shot weather or not the heel is grounded on the line.
Whereas the replay from the back clearly shows that the back heel was not grounded. The reason it was not grounded was because again he was running on the balls of his toes. In any case if that wasn’t a benefit of the doubt try, then I am not really sure when we are going to see one again. Surely the fact the two replays showed different outcomes, and the fact that people are split 50/50 about this decision emphasis that it should have been a benefit of the doubt try.

Olympic sprinters aren't negotiating their balance to stay in the field of play.
