The bunker cannot rule on a forward pass, even if deliberate. They can rule on a case where the guy with the ball loses control of it and it goes forward.

while the poor officiating is a NRL wide problem because every ref is not up to NRL standard.
Why does it seem some teams i.e. Storm and Broncos seem to get the poor call go their way while others it seems to consistantly go against them.
We were good today but not quite good enough, we gave them a scare but you have to play for 80mins, we were lucky to be only 4-0 down early it could have been 12 or 16 nil to be honest, we thought hard and then scored 2 tries while the Storm were down to 12 men.
The 2nd half it was back to 13 on 13 and we we made errors by just going through the motions to get out of our own half. We gifted them field position and that got them back into the game and then in the lead.
These lapses are the reason why we are not quite a premiership team yet.
I'm not saying we can't win it this year infact if we play like we did today we will beat who ever we play next week and give it a red hot go against the Roosters, on form you would say it should be a Storm v Eels GF.
I think we are a year early and need to mature a bit, remember Moses has only been here since what round 11?
whatever happens from here this year, next year we could be very dominate like the Storm was this year.
We may even win it this year.

AFAIK, They can't do anything unless they rule that the bloke first in possession lost control of the ball. It is obviously a blown call, but I don't believe that it is one that the bunker can fix.

on the first storm try, can't they send it to the bunker to check if the pass was touched and if it was they can say the pass was forward?
They did that a few years ago in a Eells v Dogs game.

A try every day of the week goes to the bunker but a blatant ofside is missed and they don't even bother.

That is the call that changed the game, its 10-4 and we should of got the ball back instead they score and the refs piggyback the squealing f**ks home.

We've been f**ked over all season by them and today it was more of the same.

Does the bunker have to accept the ref's definition of a pass though, particularly if it hasn't travelled through the air? Who's to say that the ref even saw it and ruled the exchange a pass?

Have you read my posts? I'm not disputing that the on-field refs blew the call. I'm just saying that I don't think going to bunker would help, as I don't believe they can over rule that one.

Yeah. The thing is the refs have the benefit of going to the replay. I understand the point of the players aren't perfect, then the ref can't be too blame, but players don't have the benefit of a replay if they screw up, the refs do. Maybe it wouldn't have made a difference, we'll never know.
Ref should have gone to the video so he's just as culpable as the players who gave away stupid penalties and had the dropsies.

Results in books, hopefully the players can use this as extra motivation for next week. Not that motivation should be an issue for an elimination final, but still a chip on the shoulder can be a help.

They can 100% clarify that one player touches it and his teammate infront of him then takes possession ... it is clearly offside by the rules ... losing possession is not relevant

The ONLY reason the whole bunker cant rule on a forward pass thing exists is all about camera angles ( but knock ons are somehow fine to rule on ... everyone knows its a cop out when the ref checks a knock on with the bunker)

I think the bunker does have to accept the refs call if the ref has, in fact, deemed an act to be a pass.

I understand your frustration, but again whats the point of getting revved up too much?
The result doesn't change we still lost by 2pts, yeah we had some calls go against us but the top teams just get on with it. We have too as we have a game next saturday which is a must win or we are on holidays.
