legend,
Crowd figures for the Bundy Cup vary.
Toowoomba Clydesdales: Play home games in areas such as Dalby, Roma, Charleville and Toowoomba. Unsure of the avg. size crowds they attract, but reports coming from Toowoomba suggest Rugby League is slowly dying in the country. With that in mind, I presume they might get crowds of between 200 - 600 per home game. Affiliated with Brisbane Broncos.
Redcliffe Dolphins: Very well supported club. Regularly attract home crowds of 1000 - 2000. Bundy Cup Grand Final is being held at Dolphin Oval this year. Expect the ground capacity to be filled (9000). Affiliated with Sydney Roosters.
Easts Tigers: Financially strong club with aspirations of gaining an NRL liscence in the future. Avg crowd is between 200 - 600, 1000 max. Affiliated with Cronulla Sharks.
Norths Devils: Melbourne Storm'sfeeder club. Have a loyal fan base. However, probably only attract crowds of between 200 - 600, 1000 max.
Burleigh Bears: Popular Gold Coast based team. Well supported on the Coast. Regularly attract crowds of between 700 - 1000, 1500 max. Affiliated with Newcastle Knights.
Central Commets: The Rockhampton side are the biggest crowd pullers in the Bundy Cup. Regularly get crowds of 4000 - 6000. League is still very popular in central Qld. Commets receive tremendous sponsorship and backing from local businesses. Affiliated with Parramatta Eels.
Wynnum Seagulls: Well supported club. Financially solid. Improving side. Regular crowds of between 500 - 1000. Affiliated with Northern Eagles.
Logan City Scorpions: Reasonably small fan base. Attract crowds of between 100 - 500. Affiliated with Canterbury Bulldogs.
Ipswich Jets: Loyal fan base. Proud club who regularly get crowds of between 200 - 600, 1000 max. Affiliated with Canberra Raiders.
Souths Magpies: Attract small but vocal crowds of between 100 - 500, with a max of probably 700 - 800. Affiliated with Wests Tigers.
Wests Panthers: Were a dominant force in the mid 70's and early 90's, but in recent years have struggled near the bottom of the ladder. Have a good young team though who will get better with experience. Crowds vary between 200 - 500. I think they have an affiliation with North Qld Cowboys.
Brothers Diehards: Looking to gain inclusion into the 2002 Bundy Cup competiton. Valleys and Brothers have merged together, and should they be accepted into the competition, they will no doubt become one of Brisbane's best supported teams. Many people are excited about this new joint venture. Rumoured to be forming an affiliation with St George Illawarra Dragons.
legend, as you are a Canberra man, you probably should support their affiliate the Ipswich Jets. Redcliffe are my team and I would welcome you into the Dolphins fan base. Brothers Diehards would also be a great team to follow.
