Shif was in great form before getting injured but Slater and Wesser have also been in awesome form. Even if Shif had been healthy, Slater was/is a better option because he provides more in attack and has proven not to be overwhelmed by the S.O.O atmosphere.

Don't mean to harp on it, but i still can't fathom how guys like Mick Crocker and Chris Flannery are considered better options then the likes of Ash Harrison, Dallas Johnson or David Stagg. Those 3 backrowers have been in fantastic form whereas the Roosters duo have not.

Makes no sense.

Great side

More Cowboys than Broncos for the first time ever.

In fact, more players from the Cowboys than any other side.

how dangerous is that backline going to be

bring it on

i think that the qld selectors have just looked at the try scoring table and picked the team (except wesser )

What would of been great is if Schif wasnt injured
he's form shate on slater and wesser's. Which means QLD would of been forced to either pick him or admitt they dont like him.

You still seriously need to get over Shifcoscke.

He will never be picked.

Crocker and Flannery have been pathetic this year.

Crocker, Ross and Flannery were very lucky to be picked.

Stagg to the second row, Harrison and Nutley to the bench.

Here we go again.

I seem to remember last year everyone (except for storm supporters ofcourse :D ) saying slater wasnt good enough for origin, he's to small etc..... Billy soon shut those people up.

Lets hope he can do the same this year.

Good side. Great to see Thurston in instead of prince and slater instead of Wesser! My day has got 100% better when I read Wesser was not in the side! Great backline with plenty of points in them!

If schif was healthy I probably would have put him in for his goal kicking. Queensland will have either Cameron Smith or Darren Lockyer kicking.... that could be the difference....

... between a 20 point win and a 40 point win.

Ty Williams is the most under-rated winger in the comp.

I applaud the QLD selectors for picking two specialist wingers instead of manufactured ones purely because they have so many good fullbacks. I mean NSW have many great halfbacks but you dont see the selectors squeezing two or three of them into the side just for the sake of it.

But on Williams, he is good under the high ball, defensively sound and electric in attack. He'll go good.

Mick Crocker is not Tallis, Qld selectors have to get over that idea,he never was and never will be.

As for Slater, I guess NSW players can rest assured that 80% of line breaks will lead to tries. How the hell is Bill Slater going to stop the likes of Gasnier, Cooper, King, Minicheillo or Barrett one on one?

Hmmm
Wesser should be there, but this just means we will get through the defence line n wont need to worry about any defence from the fullback.
Crocker n Ross could easily be replaced but im glad Flannery is there, he is a top player.
Lockyer will get owned by Barrett when he shows Queensland a rel 5/8, someone who will punish you guys in defence and attack.
NSW to win easily, most overrated Queensland side of all time.
Oh, and Prince sh*ts on Thurston.

The only suprise I fond with this side was Thurston at half! I was always adamant that Prince desrved first shot! Williams, well he was always going to be understudy to Sing when he retired but the bonus is that they now have sing AND Williams!

Dallas Johnson was shafted for Flannery!

Yeah but last time i looked, Trent Barrett conquered all opponents in Origin and has done consistently in the Blue jersey.

Origin is the toughest, most physical arena of all...can Lockyer stand up when in the front line? Probably, although he didnt last year when he was battered...but we know Barrett can.

The gap between Locky and Barrett AT 5/8 is minimal. Don't underestimate Barrett's class.
