FFS people. Its the first game of the season and already you are in here like children calling for the coaches head and criticising the team. We are missing players, so what so is everyone at one stage. Joey is back and it was hist first game really, he will improve.

Stop ya bitching and moaning, suck it up and move on.

Newcastle can do without some of you so called die hards.

Or maybe you just have your head in the sand and a blindy protecting your team.

Sure, we had players out.
Sure, it was Joey's first game back.

Fact still remains it wasn't good enough even for a Premier League team.

Exactly.

Hagan has done nothing with the team but take it downhill.
Management has done nothing with our squad except turned the quality and depth down to an appaling level of standard.

The fact is every other team in the comp is on the rise, except maybe canberra. We are sliding fast. If our management and coach don't pull their heads out we will be looking at the cellar for a while to come.

ROFL. yeah good one.

It isnt good enough for a premier team. I admit that freely. But it is still only the first game of the year and you guys are all lining ip to put the boot in.

Shame Shame Shame.

We can't be a premier team forever. Eventually the top teams will become the struggling teams. It is inevitable. Maybe its our time to go through hard times.

Well firstly, we have one of the best(if not the best) development programs around, so we should always be fairly competitive.

I undrstand what you're saying, however the team should not have slid so rapidly. As RABK said, it's not like a whole generation of players has retired, we are simply not keeping the right personell and perhaps not being coached properly. We have gone from premiers to almost cellar dwellers in 3 seasons. Not good enough.

And my answer to all this back stabbing and bandwagon jumping is it is still the first game.

If this happened half way through a regular season where we would win some games and lose some, this would go mostly un commented on. But it is the first game. And we got well and truly flogged. So everyone falls in a heap. I am saying don't.........have some faith and see how the season pans out. We could just as easily pick up over some weeks and be a force for this year again as usual.

Another thing is teams have their bogey sides. Sides they line up against and should beat, but can't seem to most times. I think Melbourne is one such club for us. As is the west tigers. We had them first up and we were not ready and paid the price. Nothing more.

We have great records against both Melbourne and the Tigers. :? The only bogey sides we have are......

The roosters of the past 3 years.
Canberra stadium.
Brookvale oval.

I had hoped that would win but I knew that it would be impossible with the players we were fielding however, I didnt think we would get smashed by that sort of margin. What pisses me off the most was that it was so easy for them to score tries. The players could hardly keep up with the pace of the game which was also worrying.

Yep. It was the first game for everyone. Some teams won, some teams lost. We happened to be beaten soundly fine. Dosnt mean we should all start whinging and abusing our team, calling for the coaches head.

Oh and kaz. Why do you insist on hanging around here for so many years. All you do is stick the boot in whenever you can, I dont remeber readin one positive comment from you regarding the knights. Go moderate the broncos forum or isnt that as much fun as having your own little anthill to watch here.

I think Johnsy's in a comfort zone its like been there done that.

Sorry Misty - I think that is a load of rubbish. The guy was so embarrased by both his performance and the teams performance, he missed the press conference (we all know that would be a first) and was found on the bus waiting to go. He is clearly not in a comfort zone - he is in a position he has never been before.

He tried his guts out there yesterday. He was in second receiver because thats where the coach wanted him. Clearly that was a mistake, and when the Knights got a bit of ball down the right end of the field he looked classy - he threw 3 great passes to set up Dustin Cooper in the corner.

Fat good this development programme is doing us - there is very little talent coming through the club that appears to be able to cut it in the NRL...

Which is a huge worry considering it's what we've built our success on these past 15 years.

You know it may be a blessing...it may give us the opportunity to cut the dead wood from the club and let us go out and buy some talent. I mean you have the likes of Hughes ($200K+), Perry ($200K+), Tilse ($100K) coming off contract that we can let go - cut a few others (like Matt Kennedy, Andrew Price, Craig Hall for example) and there is some real money about to go out and get better players.

Lol. Why not cut every one and free up as much money as we can to go buy some good players. Problem is, if your whining and bleeting is correct good players wont want to play here as we suck.

Why are we firing Hughes and perry? Craig Hall has proven a valuable player in the past. If you had your way we'd have no senior players left and would then rush out to recruit a team that will win the comp for us. GREAT PLAN

LMFAO...Knight76 do you even watch Knights games?

Why are we prepared to accept mediocrity? Why are we loyal to players that aren't prepared to put in for the club?

Hughes was an ordinary player last year - he was plain awful yesterday. Perry was among our worst players of last year, and in the year he is supposed to prove himself and stand up as a senior player, he breaks his hand trying to punch a player?

Why should we have to put up with this rubbish?

Craig Hall is an average player at best. He had a good season in 2003, had a pretty average season last year. We can do better.

Lets follow your plan and have a team of players that are overpaid, clearly not fit, and not all that talented. GREAT PLAN! You could be Hages after all...

Or we can rebuild the team around the best players in the club, and become a force once again. Sounds like a good plan to me.

I love it here.

As I know there will be sparks flying around. (Never a year goes by without drama)

I think twice I have posted nice stuff about the Knights, but I had a high fever at the time. ;-)

Seem to remember on the old forum when the Broncos lost heaps in a row, you put the boot into my team.

If you go through the latest posts, I am tame compared to some Knights fans, not that I don't agree with them, as I agree 100%
