Statistics are facts. How they are used is different.

I used them in comparison with players in the same position thus they remain in their purest form.

haha no.

It is obvious you do not deal with Maths and statistics very much.

I will bow out of this conversation now saying the bye has come at a good time for us as we need the break i think.

Haha

The stats i provided are figures of the number of each respective incident happened per player in a game.

These numbers are not made up or based on anything with bias.

They are reflect how many times a player satisfied certain features. They are facts. How they are used is up to interpretation & can be manipulated however one wishes. I avoided that.

The reason we lost had nothing to do with Lawrence. All of the outside backs are fine as they are. The problem we had was Anasta and carrying two backs on the bench.

Without Farah we have no direction and Anasta does not help that at all. He gives poor service and several times handed Brooks hospital balls on the last tackle putting the young kid under huge pressure.

Woods being out meant that Tapau had to start and that lost us the impact we would ordinarily have seen coming from the bench. Carrying the one prop (Ava.S) meant that Sue had to play as prop instead of coming on as a backrow interchange.

When we have Tapau, Gavet and Sue come on it gives crash ball options in the middle of the park and draws defenders allowing our backs the space to score trys. Anasta is proving too slow giving service to our outside backs when we get this space. It is a big reason why Simona has not scored the trys we saw him score last season...no space and time to get outside his man as Anasta is easily covered by the inside defenders. Having Siro or Austin there is what the team needs.

I would like to see Austin get a run at 5/8 with a full strength side but can see the appeal of Siro being there allowing us to carry 4 forwards on the bench in Tapau, Gavet, Sue and either Akaoula or Ava.S. Would make for a pretty monster side.

The reason we lost has nothing to do with Lawrence, I agree.

However, he is a slow, bog average first grader with zero spark.

Does any think that first try for the Broncos was forward ? the dummy half is clearly behind the 10m line when he passes it to the try scorer, who catches it in front of the line before scoring.I know it's footy but i counted 5 forward passes and a sheperd that were not pulled up by Badger and his off sider in the first half, had me thinking more than once during the game they were only policing one team to ensure a Bronco win.

YES . . and there was another even more forward pass earlier in the same set.
And the other thing that pizzed me off was the ability of the 2nd Bronco's marker to stand wherever the hell he liked . . . square, alongside, 3m to the left, 5m diagonally backwards . . . and not get pinged ONCE for it.
I also love how the refs and touchies get all excited in the first 3 minutes and yell to the players to "play it with your foot" . . . and then the remaining 73 minutes become an exercise in tunnel ball.
Sigh . . . but the refs didn't lose that for us. We kept them in the game by gifting stupid error after error.

I don't think we were that ill disciplined to be penalised 2 to 1. Normally the penalties get squared up but it didn't for us against the Broncs....

Like hell i'm bagging Lawrence tonight. It must've been wet, players were slipping over all night from both sides.

And if someone other than Brooks could bother to give a bit of direction, Lawrence wouldn't need to go looking for the ball.

Simona f**king starved waiting for ball from Anasta.

Luani was at his slowest yet in the top grade, as far as service goes.

But at least lawrence can hang on to the pill and run a decent line and time it properly, unlike Statue Lulia, who dawdles about like a f**king brown cow, its like having a less skillful, marginally better defensive version of Lui back out there when Lulia is on the field.

But Anasta, f**k me, that his worst game tonight this year, by far.

several times he got the ball on the last when Brooks wasn't in position, and instead of kicking, Anasta passed it to Brooks, who had little option to either pass or attempt a short kick.

At the end when Brooks needed good clean ball, he got passes at his head, behind him, slow dummies to him and then the pass went to him with the defence on top of him from Luani, Anasta and Austin.

The poor kid had no f**king hope of constructing anything. Evidence by the fact that he had to use kicks to get 2 tries.

No one runs options for him, when he starts to drift, everyone stops moving, bar one centre who will run back on the inside.

What f**king hope can he have?

Where are the back rowers running straight options on his inside and/or outside?

And then there's Anasta's f**king kicks, those bomb's into the opposition's in goal and we have two blokes chasing, because everyone else intelligently assumes that a kick will go where we have 11 men standing.

Agree. Brooks had a great game poor service considered. His kicking game needs work and he can't afford to keep getting tackled with the ball on the second last play. He did it four or five times during this game, but to his credit he the times he got caught he was looking to manufacture something.

We really miss farah in the opposition 20, he really conducts the play for us down there, Luani just doesn't have the fluency of execution of Farah yet and stifles the plays when the pressures on with mediocre service

Simona 9 runs for 53 metres
Lawrence 9 runs for 54 metres

Simona 12 tackles
Lawrence 18 tackles

Simona 1 off load
Lawrence 1 off load

Simona 0 handling errors
Lawrence 1 handling error

Simona 0 1-on-1 tackles
Lawrence 3 1-on-1 tackles

Simona 0 missed tackles
Lawrence 1 missed tackle

those are the only stats where at least one of our centres registered something other than zero in.

So neither had any tackle breaks, line breaks, line break assists, try assists, penalties conceded.

Simona barely saw the ball in attack I'm tipping five of those runs were from dummy half, he was absolutely starved out wide.

And how Patty Richards didn't take on Barba has got me stuffed, he had two options and we would have scored from both, him running over the top of Barba or straightening his run and using his two outside supports, instead he ran noafoluma over the side line.

There's a lot of truth to this. Team selection was ordinary last game and it is going to be crucial after the bye when injured players return.

The fifth tackle options were by and large atrocious and that is inexcusable. If anasta's experience is supposed 2 count for anything he should be able to do something on the last play. He chipped to the in goal on the fly in our first set. The 7 tackle set which followed led to a try.

Anasta cannot play next game

Simona doesn't see the pill because Braith is inside him on the right side. Simona is wasted on the right side he's got a strong right arm fend/left hand carry

We really have something special coming a long here, we just need to improve the nuances of our game. Anasta needs to f**k off, and I really think Bodene Thompson is shit, going against the grain with that opinion. As MU said, he runs a dud line and I fail to see what else he offers. His defence is not as good as Blairs, his impact is dwarfed by Taupau's and Gavet's. I see Fulton, Siro, Halatau and Patterson as more viable starting options.
