Started well, bombs a couple of good chances. Eels got a heap of set restarts that gave them momentum. The power game good at the start but not sustainable across the whole half. We have points in us though so plenty of hope for second half

I thought the replay showed Couchman didnt actually make contact with the player when he was on the ground. Very harsh and entirely predictable.

Kyle with his typical getting caught with the ball 5m out. No running effort on the Da Silva try and then an unnecessary sideways run when we just finished defending pretty well with a man down.

If he is picked for experience and consistency over being a points maker, then it can't be justified any longer.


A good effort by the team.

I watched the replay of that try a couple times and it was as lazy as you get in first grade. Would be one of the first clips played in the video session next week. Kyle is protected though he can do no wrong apparently

Sure, Klein is going hard on the 6 agains. He will probably put it away in the last 20 as goes the way of the scripted first grade games now, but on the flip side, we know how the game is reffed these days and can't really get with it.
We had done so well until 5 minutes to go, just as well as half time came when it did because it could have landslided. No good Shane complaining after the match, he needs to be better prepared.

If we get gassed with 20 minutes to go again you have to ask a few questions of the coach and of the club.
Expecting an 80 minute effort this week

His defence is good for a half, he isn’t really making mistakes etc, but he definitely isn’t showing he is a starting half by creating anything.

Should consider LKT if he is playing well, alternatively Joseph O’Neill looked good last week…
