Hikus defence is shoddy as f**k but I think Waqa will make way for Whare. Waqa still needs to work on his carry and still just wants to run around everyone which is fine in space but a guy his size should be running onto the ball hard and hitting the line with force, he has this hop/skip thing he does a lot after he catches the ball which does nothing but slow his momentum. I would be telling Waqa if he goes down to nsw cup to put the footwork away and just run straight and hard as much as possible.

Waqa Blake has really improved in all aspects this season which is credit to way we have been bringing him along. He is still an unfinished product no doubt, but his reads in defence has improved, has been less error prone and as we saw on Monday night, put him in space and the results speak for themselves. Granted Peta Hiku hasn't exactly been gifted too much open space thus far in season 2016 but if I was the coach and had to make a decision then Waqa is in front Hiku. (That is assuming Dean Whare comes straight back into the side)

Whare is worth 6 points a game to us which happens to be the magic number we need to win the games we are losing. I couldn't give a tinkers cuss if they drop Blake or Hiku. Hiku would probably add some utility value from the bench though.

Hiku and Blake will be our centres v the Sharks so need to fret just yet. Maybe Round 9 the coach may have to make a tough decision but depending how we fare against the Sharks perhaps the best outcome in for Whare to come back thru NSW Cup.

Don't see any point to picking Whare in Cup unless they only play him limited minutes. He's full professional and doesn't have bad games.

If fit he goes straight back in there is no way the play him is NSW cup for mine.

Go to go straight in. Unfortunately we didn't sign Hiku to play reserves so looks like Blake will have to make way.
Does it work like that in a good team? Sam Thaiday was benched by Bennett. An international, premiership winning, SOO veteran. Benched. A place in the team is a privilege, not a right.

If Hiku's form is down, out he goes. If he is half the player I expect he is, he will try harder to get back in.

I'm feeling a Segs to hooker, Wallace to 7 and Martin to grandstand kind of shuffle happening on Sunday.
I think that might be what happens for the Bathurst game.

Who to drop out of the centres is a tough one. I really don't know. I think I would spell Hiku but maybe it will go the other way. Maybe even give Whare half a game in the reggies to be quite sure he's ready and so not to be bringing back two players from injury in the same match.

Its been nice to have the problem of too many players to choose from.
Last year we were raiding the NYC team for players to fill in the holes.

I think that TMM and Blake will be moved back to NSW cup and Segs and Wallace will resume there original positions.

Be madness to drop TMM. Needs to have as many first grade games under his belt as possible for when he's partnered with someone new in the next year or 2 ( Cleary or Moylan ect )

Care to share the methodology used to come up with this number?

Chances are you are going to have either Wallace or Segeyaro filling that role. We need to keep some beef on the bench as well.

He will either be responsible for scoring a try or saving a try. Its not methodology or rocket science Frog, its bloody common sense.
