Do you reckon we play Carty at 5/8th (probably won't happen) or Wallace at halfback? Considering that most of the tries we scored tonight were off offloads rather than Soward, Carty also made us look dangerous when he had the ball. To go 4/8 would have been nice, but with the raiders, warriors and titans coming up I think we could win 2 of those and then with a bye go 6/12. Proud of their effort seeing it would have been easy to cave in after the sharks defence in the first half.

Wallace at half, that is my vote. Not ideal, but the best option we have.

They said on the commentary it's not an ac joint which is the worst shoulder injury that usually happens. Hopefully it's not a season injury it didn't look good though, there's a nerve they sometimes hit there that will numb the whole arm could be that.

Once you guys f**k Soward off you'll be much better. By far the worst defensive player in the league. Holmes palmed him off like he wasn't even there. Young Martin is a goodun, Campbell-Gillard and Cartwright are outstanding players. In a couple years you boys will be unbeatable.

Great game.

Considering the injuries we had in the 1st half I wasn't expecting us to go very well in the 2nd. The boys really dug in and came very close. We scored 4 tries to 3 but still didn't win. Should we have taken penalty shots in the first half?

Good news is that I have Fischer-Harris in my fantasy team. 60+ points when he only averages 20.Go you good thing.

Interesting game against the Raiders coming up.

PS another good win by the NYC team beating a top 8 team away from home.

I thought it would be obvious Soward isn't in the side for his defence. He's slowed down alarmingly in the last 2 years, and isn't going to be able to hoof it with the likes of Valentine Holmes.

He does, however have a kicking game (although it wasn't quite at its best in this game) and ability to read and manage the game better than anyone else in either the Penrith or Cronulla clubs, and its a case of covering up his deficiencies in defence, which unfortunately hasn't happened enough in the past 2 games.

I agree with this. I think he needs another off season getting stronger. I am worried he will get smashed up if he plays in SOO now. Let him build his body a bit more and then it will be like NSW have an extra half in the team. A bit more experience needed but, I haven't seen a player with such vision at Penrith since Brandy. He sniffs out a gap like a veteran halfback.

As for Soward, I am over him to be honest. His defence is not just bad, it is embarrassing. I would have said drop him, but with TMM out, we don't have anybody else to step up. Put Peachey or Cartwright at 5/8th and have Segeyaro off the bench in the next game, it will give us a real impact when the forwards tire with him coming on after 20 minutes. Wallace can move to half and Peachey/Cartwright can revert to the backrow. Segeyaro will need a spell on the bench until he gets match fit at least and he also needs to earn his spot back.

Please Hook, don't put Smith at 5/8th, my nerves can't stand it.
