Unless we're planning on moving Roberts to hooker. Which is again, totally backwards. If they're insisting on that hack Waddell being in the side then at least start Gower at halfback and put a genuine replacement hooker like Clydsdale on the bench.

If Bedsy isn't fit I can actually see the reasoning behind not picking Clydeadale. Throwing him in for 80 minutes down in Melbourne against Smith isn't ideal. But when your alternative is Travis f**king Waddell you've got to take the risk. End of discussion.

There's also absolutely no point having Houston in the side. He's not going to crack the starting lineup and he'll offer zero impact from the bench. I know we've run out of players but even Nev would be a better option.

Also I think Sims needs to start over Mason. He could handle it IMO and Willie just isn't making enough metres for a starting front rower. I think he'd be much better coming off the bench and revving the boys up. He and Cuthbo both have good offloads too so I'd love to see them come on in the back end of the halves when the opposition are tired and do a bit of that. Unlikely though.

Just watching the sharks game and they have some talented backrowers. They can all offload and step to beat the first man. Lewis, Graham, Bakuya, Tupou. They are dangerous from everywhere. We only really have dangerous outside backs...

Gower says his days playing Hooker are over but that would be for a full game. He could probably handle 40 mins of it.

If Roberts doesn't do too well we have the option of Gower to 7 but no real backup for 9 then.

Uate must still be a bit doubtful.

That would be good but Waddell is in the team unless something changes again tomorrow.
With Uate and Nev N picked in the 18 one would probably have to go leaving Waddell in. Not much point in us having a winger/centre off the bench. Not much point in us having Waddell out there either but I reckon he will stay.
