I believe it's time to give Sloane permission to negotiate with other clubs. The Bulldogs do it very well so there is no reason the Dragons cannot do it. Once he is gone replace him with a quality outside back.

Watching replay of Knights game.

We’ve improved the middle, and back 5 as named tomorrow will serve us well. It’s actually quite good.

Both pass marks for sure. Edges are very good, even with the injuries and youth. Gutho being Gutho. Blake is contributing and doing his job and holding up his end of the bargain (even if only just somethimes)

Killer is halves. Present zero running threat and kicking game is easily bottom four in comp.

Hopefully Atkinson can add something and the placeholders can do something while Reed comes along. Would be lovely if he was good enough to fast tracked next twelve moths.

We’ll compete with the Dolphins but the sideways attack due to lack of threat inside 20, followed by an (at best) patchy kicking game means we’ll frustrate and if we do win, it will be ugly.

The base has definitely improved significantly. Trey defend well and are improving. Would love Egan and R Couch fit and available.

Not really too far away.

A top prop and half way threatening halves from contending. Still don’t like Liddle situation.

nice thought piece on where we are at.

i agree mostly. We have definitely improved in my perception over last 2 years. We are not there yet, by a stretch, but:
- it feels like we are on the rise.
-lots of young guys have come on, something we really lacked for ages.
-passion and enjoyment is seemingly coming back in the team (or at least I’m perceiving it so)

now of course my blood pressure now needs to be treated
-we have a lot to do in the halves (I don’t have a real or possible solution, just know it’s our #1 issue
-especially With injuries we lack a bit in the pack, imagine if we had got AFB? Or could really stand a chance with Haas? Klemmer is coming good, maybe he can fill the role until the younger guys grow into their bodies. Maybe Sele will overcome injuries and do the same?
- wrt props, I just hope we don’t settle for roadblocks. Wrt the forwards we should support and develop our youth and only accept elite from here.
- FB and hooker is a strength atm, we need to plan for the future (how long does Gutho have? will cook even make the top 17 next year?)

Some tough games coming up including Dolphins however we have improved a lot and need to take some confidence into this game and play some front foot footy. Our forward pack has continued to improve despite injuries and lack of star quality, and our back line looks very solid. In LPT I think we have a genuine game changer on our hands. He needs time to adapt to NRL but when he does oh boy, extend this guy's contract please. While you're at it extend the Couchman's and Stewart.

No reason whatsoever we can't beat the Dolphins.

The most revealing thing about the Dolphins team is how they've successfully turned Josh Kerr into a latter-day impact forward off the bench. My rating of Kerr for most of his time at the Dragons when he was supposedly at his peak, was little above oxygen thief. Goes to show - YET AGAIN- how poor our pathway and coaching structures have been.
Kerr is having a one off ok season. Bellamy was happy to let him go. Did nothing while he was here. Played poorly under arguably the best coach of all time - Bennett - and was often not good enough to make their top 17.
Hilarious that you now think that coaching was the problem with Kerr. Maybe he's just finally having a dig.

If we leak points on Sloan's side, that should confirm that he is not the only problem on that side. I would like to see Feagai given a crack in the centres in place of Suli and eventually see Lawson develop into a centre and take that spot permanently.

Herbie Farnworth will have a picnic on that side if he is on Suli's side. Herbie is on fire at the moment.
I am sure Flannigan is aware of this and will instruct Dean Young to solve it; create a plan to solve it.

He's playing so well anyone would think he doesn't have a contract next year

Oh wait............

Shades of Issac Luke?

Bugger all to do with past coaches at Dragons

Agree, and not sure why he's blaming Josh Kerr's form at the Dragons on our pathways system, considering he was never in it? Came through Redcliffe Dolphins junior system and then Storm U20s.

Now that we have CT back who is a very high chance to score from within 10m of the line im looking foward to us running some set plays that we had early in the year that paid off. We seem go have gone away from it last 6-8 weeks.

Dolphins are up and down. If we slow their rucks it will help alot. JMK and Averilo usually carve us up too so it's not gping to be an easy game at all.
I’m usually very negative. So I’ll take off my negativity cap and try and look at this game as a neutral supporter would. Sorry to say. I’m leaning towards the dolphins. I like the dragons line up this week, so I won’t be that surprised if they pull out a close win.

No freight payments. Terms should be a clean release with the termination of the current contract. before 30 June.
