If we aim up through the middle we should win this, especially if Maloney is fit. If sauce is back I’d probs drop Crichton. I’d still like to see aekins get another go but Phillips seems a bit safer atm.

Aekins and Mansour wings with Whare in the centres doesn't give much speed out wide. That alone will keep Phillips in

I imagine Bennett is going to put a rocket up the Broncos after how they played on the weekend. Warriors carved them up mostly through the middle of the field.

That said, it looks like there is a good chance Su'A and Ofahengaue will be out (both appeared to pick up injuries on the weekend). Broncos will also still be missing Bird, Haas and Gillett.

If the judiciary has any consistency McCullough will also be suspended for striking. That will probably mean either McGuire or Thaiday go to hooker, and both are awful at hooker.

It is always difficult to beat the Broncos in Brisbane, but I think we are a good chance in this one (but I don't expect it to be easy).

Pangai Junior and Roberts missed yestersday no guarantee either will play this week either. 3 games in 9 games for a few and the 5 day turnaround for the rest. Along with us getting atleast 3 rep players back should see us home

Jake Turpin? who debuted for them a fortnight ago would probably fill in at hooker, maybe not for the whole 80, for a decent amount and most Broncos fans seem happy with that.

Yeah true. I was also assuming guys like Lui and Aekin would have to fit as they've played the house down.
Im praying that happens..but I can see us moving our best back to the wing and justifying it because Peachey is an Origin player.

But I hope instead we think Aekins or Luai are good fullbacks. Lets use our rep wingers as our wingers.

Kikau, Blake + Mansour would be absolutely delicious.
I want DWZ to swap sides.

I think Mansour would be a bit too slow and not as up tempo as Blake and Kikau. DWZ suits their style better

I like the thought of our left edge having the flair and size. While our right edge are the no frills pump out the hard work side. Yeo, Whare and Mansour would be z better fit IMO.

That's a very good setup. Haven't DWZ/Blake traditionally been on the same side anyway?

McCullough and McGuire both charged but a fine only in each case, so they'll be there Friday.

I noticed that McCullough was charged with "fighting" which only carries a fine. However, Api was charged (for throwing a single punch) in that incident with Will Chambers earlier in the year with "striking", which carries a minimum of 200 points at the lowest grading (before early pleas). Doesn't make much sense to me.

I thought the NRL were all about stamping out punches? Stunned that McCullough has survived this.

I think Koroisau was frowned upon because he came in on something that didn't concern him. TBH I think the fine on McCullough is fair enough, there wasn't a huge lot in it. The Warriors player who forearmed him got a fine as well.

The MRC certainly seems to have set a precedent. I don't know if there is any clarity as to what distinguishes 'fighting' from 'striking', but any player in future who is charged with striking (which carries a much heavier penalty) should appeal and seek a downgrade on the basis that they were in fact only 'fighting'.

I think a part of it was Macca was sort of defending himself after the elbow.

I agree that is a joke of a decision, undermines the whole league.
It was simple before, throw a punch and your out, it’s happened only twice this year and there were 2 suspension.
Very strange decision to not suspend him even if you consider he was provoked
