It's a mystery. Apparently it's OK to take out a defender nowadays. For a moment there I thought we watching Gridiron.
I might add. That was a cheap shot from Wallace, hitting a bloke from behind like that. Presumably McGuire was penalised for coming in support of a team mate. If he was going to be clipped by the ref for that, then he should have made the first whack count.

Tough conditions yes but he's missed a few important ones this year
It was not that windy out there. Just a slight breeze at best
It did not worry their goal kicker
But you are probably looking at last weeks important one from the sideline he missed fresh in your mnd.
He has kicked plenty of important ones in his career and this year
but I have found watching him this year he has changed his style and he seems to shorten up too quick after he strikes the ball
It is if he almost looks like he is nervous with his little jump stutters after striking it and willing the ball to go over. But that is just my view.

But watching our defence it was terrible on Lomax's side. Not blaming him but Moga missed plenty and that try where they threw it round like a hot potato was so hard to watch. 52 missed by the team. Deplorable.
Positives - Lucky Titans were just as bad in defence.
Ramsay is getting better and better and Bird played well.
Its marvellous when they look to offload how dangerous they can be in attack
I am with Hook we hardly could get a penalty or 6 again go our way.
Moga unlucky not to have a 4th try.
NRLW girls were good without being brilliant. Solid first hit out

PS. Can someone teach Woodsy our team celebration song.
His missed tackle on Fifita gave them the leg up they needed.

Our missed tackle count this year has been quite high

We probably would of missed the most or be right up there

With Lomax's kicking I'd say you are right the one last week and the one against the Titans earlier are fresh in my mind

My take, Titans were teeeeerible.
And it was fun to watch us play a bit of touch footy. So happy that Hook decided to replace McCulloch with Sullivan early in the game, what a coaching master stroke, perfect time to inject him!
Hopefully now, that’s the last we ever see of McCulloch and Sullivan is in the starting lineup every single week.
Bring on the Tigers!

Good to see a decent tally in the Dragons favour at games end - in front for a change .

Media has remarked how the good teams skills have really shown up their lesser opponents - does that mean the Dragons are a good team ?

Perhaps they always were up in the top team category , but never realized it and our coach also must be a damn good coach . 😳

playing a low table team ( like us)
Birds best game, played very well.
Moga is not as bad as some post on the forum. Yes, a sloppy miss tackle early. He goes well for 4x ACL redemption story.
Zac Lomax played well. Had an off day with the boot. He is better than that normally.
Aaron Woods sort of won me with his little son on his shoulders in a red v jersey Aand clapping madly during team song.
Sullivan looked sharp

Was a pleasing win, even though it was against bottom of the table opposition. But these are games we have lost these last few (10) years.
Bird played well and deserves MOM
Amone has continued his improve and increased engagement in the game. Kicking and running more and being considered an option from the dummy half.
noticed that Amone and Sullivan were enjoying themselves on the field. I feel like we just have to get these guys on the paddock and playing together. Sullivan was good at DH and provided service plus speed. He also backed up attacking raids and could be an option in 2023 to give us some creativity.
Ramsey at the back was again safe and steady. He needs to develop his pass as too often he joined the backs but died with the ball instead of feeding his centre or winger outside of him.
I feel like we are lacking strength and power in the forwards. Laurie has been a pleasant surprise with his improvement this year but he needs a few partners. Woods isn’t up to it and McGuire provides our grunt and aggression and he is gone next year.
The reality is we only beat the Titans but there were some things to ne pleased about. The test is to back it up and post another 40 V the Tigers and end with a win against the Broncos to hopefully knock them out of the 8

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm Re Hooks replacement of McCullough 😂😂😂

All in all a win is a win, great to see bud in there, defense will be a concern but moving forward that can be fixed with game time and as he continues to grow. Overall the attacking footy was great to see but it is absolutely evident we just cant keep these lumbering forwards if we need to go any further, even with the speed of Bud they still struggled, we all know who they are. Great to see what a difference speed out of dummy half makes, but for a defensive no risk taker coach we all knew who was going to be the 9, lets just hope all this changes for our final 2 games. I'm not going to bag Mbye he has been solid wherever we have put him, he was bought as a utility and not a game changing star, he has done his job. My only concern is watching the highlights of the KOE , Sloan did some good things but in general still looked disinterested, I really hope he puts his nose to the grindstone and really works on his game in the off season, I would still love to see the three amigos playing together. Overall well done Dragons at least you have put smiles on our faces with a win, as for Bird well mate I've bagged you often enough but credit to you , was a good game mate, lets just see more of it Jack. Lets keep the team as it is and at least finish off on a high note. Well done lads.

Always take a win. But we must realise, and most do, it was only against the Titans. I am sure most thought that when we went down to 12, plus a depleted bench, 20 minutes to go and only 4 in front, we were gone. Any decent team would have put us away. All the Titans had to do was hold the ball and we would have likely conceded.
But credit where it's due, the boys stuck to it and got the job done, helped by the Titan's ineptness.

On another note, who else was worried when Woods put his kid on his shoulders for the team song that he would drop him?

But McCullough provides great service & he has a great combination with Hunt.??? Yeah right .....
Dare I say "Never to be seen again, after the middle field support & speed Bud provided"...
The only reason Sullivan got game time was because of the injury to McCullough when McCullough is back Sullivan will go back to reserves that is in Hooks DNA and nothing will change unless the Board pay McCullough out for his last season and take the decision out of Hooks hands.
Norman would still be playing 5/8th for the Dragons if Hook had his way FFS
