The ref didn't cost the dogs the game, never the less nhe was pathetic.

Reading some of your comments shows to me just how poor Cummins effort was - you're an Eels fan who stands to benefit from Melbourne winning and you still agree. Nonetheless we can't blame the ref for the boys giving up on it anyway. That's the problem with Melbourne IMO - it's all psychological.

Yep, he was tragic, and wanker warren said he was great, what a load of crap. He done Melbourne alot of favours tonight, how he missed some knock ons and ruled some is still beyond me, and people wonder why we should have the third refr on every play.

Typical. The Storm blew the Dogs off the park and all you hear is bitching and moaning about the ref or how the Dogs played crap and never deserved it. What about how the Storm were just too good on the night? There were many reasons for the result but the reffing wouldn't be anywhere near the top of the list, hell it'd be lucky to even make the list. Anyway enough about people whinging about the refs, if it makes you feel better about the loss then knock yourself out.

As for the result i certainly wasn't expecting that one at all. I thought the entire game was going to be much like the first half where no side gave an inch. While i was rapt with how the boys ran away with it in the second half i still think there's a bit of work to do to before we can say we're back to our best form and ready to be a chance to win the comp.

While our last 40 minutes were excellent our first 40 was riddled with basic errors that we have to get out of our game before the finals. But in saying that it was pretty greasy out there last night so that may have contributed a bit as well. Either way it was great to get such a big scalp two weeks out from tyhe finals and do it in such a convincing way.

We've got the Tits at home next week and we should welcome back Kingy and Zap who've scored 25 tries between them this season so things are looking better than they have for a while. It was only one game last night but hopefully we've turned the corner a bit heading into the finals.

F**k, have a cry Ice.

The Dogs were crap = the Storm were good. I'm a Bulldogs supporter - of course I'm going to come on and discuss the effort of my team.

Anyhow...

Hardly IMO - they show how we fell apart with 20 to go.

We matched them in intensity for 58 minutes last night and the fact the possession was the way it was is testament to great defence. Worst 20 minutes the 'Dogs have played all year. :(

Loooking at those 2 stats It dosen't quite add up. I'm sure the Storms ball handleing wasn't at 78%.

If the Dogs drop less ball they'll be thereabouts in the Finals.

You're the one that was sooking about the ref Timmmaaaah!

Read back and you'll see that i never had an issue about you discussing your team, it was your bitching about the ref that i was alluding to.

Falou was channel 9's. However he didnt even get any points in the 2GB 3,2 and 1's.

Slater was 2GB's MOM, with Smith and Johnson being 2nd and 3rd.

Thanks for that boys. Personally i would've went Billy even though Izzy got the hat trick. I thought Billy was solid all game and did some good things. I was also happy with Quinn's game as well and he made some good metres. If he can keep that up going into the finals he'll be very handy to have in the team.

See I would have went Cameron Smith. Slaters game was good but he wasn't best on ground IMO. Smith steered the team and without him we wouldn't have won as comfortably as we did.

Anthony Quinn played his best game in Melbourne colours. Something to do with him being back on the wing. Easily his best position.

I thought the ref was somewhat ordinary but didn't influence the game.

Not a matter of the dogs playing poorly at all, they gave it their best shot but the Storm was just too damn good, handled everything the dogs threw at them and then came home over the top of them.

Impressive win.

Quinn was great last night, been one of our best for the past month now. White was good as well played with the fire that you need from your #1 prop which has been missing. Nice to see our forwards been a bit more adventurous with the ball.

Now for the rant, please Craig and I know that its to late for this year, put out GI back to centre where he belongs. I actually find it depressing to watch Greg just hand the ball off to other people or see him crowded when he does try to run.

The way Bellamy structures his backline we need a 5/8 who has a great passing game both sides of his body and GI is not the person for that (some-one similar to Lockyer, hello Aitken). Why the f*ck do you want Greg setting tries up for other people, its ridiculous.

He has rarely as the time or space he needs there and if we dont win the comp this year I think that may play a big part in it.
