Ashley Graham was yet another BS decision, gave him to the Cowboys before he packed it in at Parra.

Oh dear, judgement day will come, Tonga, Ryan, Graham nearly ost Mateo, then not picking Inu , Hayne , he did some real good trings and will still do at Newcastle but has some real big issues on recognising who should be kept.
But you really don't know the outcome had he stayed at your club.
And in saying that,it's made way for Inu and Hayne.

I believe Mitch Sargent is happier at the Knights and in the end players only really shine where they're happy.

By the way Mitch is a good buy,he was great tonight just couldn't plug up that cut:lol:

Congrats Knights, played well at times, just didn't have that flashy attacking player to lead the charge. If they played like that all year they would be finals contenders no doubt at all. Cowbs still need to learn how to defend and be better disciplined, that 5-10 minute period in the 2nd half was terrible, in the semis, that sort of $hit can lose you the game. Bowen Mango is an absolute freak.

Ah sorry Delboy I thought you meant BS as a negative term rather than an acronym for the current Newcastle coach. :p

Don't know what I was thinking.

Pete, he got a terrible injury against the Broncos a few years ago, the issue was he never really got a run in first grade as I don't think BS rated him.

It was really a comment on mistakes , as I said BS will do some good things at Newie, just that they may not be as forgiving over time that we were at Parra when mistakes of judgement are made with players coning through your own system.

I disagree, Brian gave him oppotunities to play first grade after that injury but Ash took a while to recover and seemed to be a good scape goat. I wont blame Smith on this one as his recovery did take a while, however as i said previously i always rated him but like Smith we didn't know when he would become consistant.

very proud of the effort tonight.. they had a real genuine dig. they just weren't good enough... and i guess in a way it's confirmation that the cleanout needed to happen (not that i really needed confirmation).

buderus once again showed his class.. as he has all year in the red and blue. a brighter year for him next year.

Bowen is great to watch, but i hate listening to the commentators nearly every time he touches the ball, Tallis is the worst at it.

While mentioning commentators, Ikin continues to prove what a fool he is, Webbs no try was a blatant obstruction

I acknowledge I have not seen very much of Knights halfback Walsh but from what I have seen do not understand the fuss Knights are making about him.

Mullen has talent to burn but Walsh is very ordinary IMO and a massive liability in defence. I realise he's still very young but just don't see anything to suggest he will be anything more than an average hback.

Really??
I think the opposite,I have to say my opinion on Mullen is that he's a tad overrated.
Walsh appears very promising to the Knights.

Either way in a few years I feel the Knights will be a force.

Just goes to show we all see things differently. Knights may well be a force but seriously doubt it will be with Walsh. Mullen was thrown into SOO a little too early IMO but the kid has talent and can at least tackle.

Walsh seems to have lost all his energy and enthusiasm for this year, mentally and physically he looks drained, same with Paterson.

Next year they will be bigger and better for the experience of turning up each week.

And good game Cowboys, too good for us.

If Walshy was worth an 8/10 most weeks around his debut he is around a 5-6/10 now, playing behind a crap pack and the season taking its toll on the young fella, down on a bit of confidence too I'd say. He and Pato should be even better again next season :D

tbh our pack was great last night and really got stuck in. walshy didn't create much at all - but i agree that he is drained from the year. he was looking very good in his first few weeks in first grade and has an excellent combination with mullen. hopefully he puts on a few pounds in the off season and learns to tackle.. lol.

Yeah the forwards were much improved last night, could see that Walshy had a lot more room to move during most of the 1st half.
