Will be a different looking team again next week. One of the keys to being successful, many believe, is to be able to trot out the same side each week for most of the season. Combinations with and without the ball get the opportunity to gel well and you want a settled side certainly down the backend of the season and heading into finals if you're still in contention.

Anyhow, meanwhile we have to shuffle the deck chairs yet again but are playing well above our weight nonetheless.

Fingers crossed we get a few back. Could AJ be right to return? Would be timely with Rava now out. If he is right, that would send Tass over to the right wing which wouldn't be a major problem as a result. Fingers crossed AJ is back. He would love to be on the end of those Latrell bullets again. Try tally will start ratcheting up again quick smart.

Aitken has been touted as being due back for round 6 and we did see footage of him trotting about with the boys at training last week. If fit, does he play centres considering Latrell is likely to be selected at 6 to replace Cody if Cody is indeed out? Or if he is selected at edge, then Arrow likely is the man to return to the middle rotation. Imagine that. Going from centre to front row the following week!

Big opportunity coming up for Doddie providing he gets through this afternoon's Cup game intact.

A rough stab at what our team vs the Cows in Perth will look like next week - Gray, AJ, Wighton, Aitken, Tass, Latrell, Dodd, Tats, Mamo, Kep, Keaon, Arrow, Hubby, bench - Bud, Davvy, Havili, Tallis.

I think you're pretty much spot on with that team. Like you said hopefully AJ will be back.
Wouldn't be surprised if they pulled Doddie out of the Cup game today considering the need to ensure he is fit for his likely NRL debut next week.

Also, not bad depth if the replacements for Humphreys, Walker and Rava are Dodd, Aitken and AJ. Not bad at all.

I keep having a thought and it’s only a thought that he might play bud and dodds in the halves and leave the centre pairing as is then he only has to find a winger and aitkin can fill the no 14

Yeah, that's another option. But Trell is our main attacking weapon and for me, he just has to be in the spine somewhere. Centre is okay at rep level when you have guns in the halves and fullback too that can set him up well but at club level, and now if Cody is out as well, it would be a waste I reckon to keep him waiting out in the centres with less capable guys in the middle running the show.

Let's not forget his huge kicking game too that kept us in the game the other night.

But, that's all up to Wayne. He could go that way too.

Wighton to 5/8 and Aitken to R centre, Latrell staying at L centre is also a possibility

The only game our NSW Cup side has won this year is the one Dodd was suspended for in round 1. Not saying they're losing because of him, but he is yet to celebrate a win in our colours.

Lots of possibilities. But what's the probability and what's your preference.
Yeah, it's a tough call.
Just off the top of my head, I'd go with Wighton @ 5/8, leave Latrell where he is ATM, play Sullivan as utility, but we need to see how good to go Aitken really is. If he's good, put him at right C, next to Arrow.

If Dodd is gonna debut, I'd want someone very experienced to partner him in the halves, to settle him and talk him through the game.

Thing is, when you say leave Latrell where he is ATM, Wayne shifted him to 5/8 in the 2nd half, not Wighton. And we won. So, while he could consider shifting Jack there next week, makes you wonder why he didn't do that the other night.

It's still a possibility but I would rate Mitchell at 6 is more likely now - if Cody is out.

We need a top defender opposite Deardon.
I think Wighton is better than Latrell at covering the D required for Deardon
Dearden likes to run across to the edge backrowers and centres before straightening off the dummy. The 5/8s are less likely to go directly head to head and frankly I would rate Trell's defence ahead of Jack's.
