I'm a big fan of clubs doing the right thing by players but in this instance we should not let Robbie Farah go.
If cookie were to have a season ending injury we would be stuffed.
I'm not sure Billy Britain is ready to play 80 mins of first grade per week.
Some have suggested Cam Murray..... that might work if they share the roll but I just think we are gambling with our season by releasing him.

He has the chance to be part of a premiership winning squad here this year.

As for the Tigers I think they might just fad out of the 8 with or without Robbie.

Only other alternative for Hooker I can see for Cookie who could replicate what he does is .......... and this is from left field( left left way left) .....Gagai!

The main reason I’m not a fan of letting players go is they will also bring with them all our game plans, our secret little plays we haven’t unleashed yet, info on injuries players are nursing etc. But they could always pass that info on out of spite anyway I suppose.

No chance in hell would Gagai be able to handle the defensive workload at hooker.

He's averaging about 16 tackles per game, compared to Cook's 43.

Brittain averages 40 in NSW Cup and is a very similar style of player in attack to Cookie.

If there were any issues about him (or Doueihi) keeping up at this level at hooker, Clarky or Cam Murray could always play the first 20 minutes

It’s a great time for recovery. We only have one NRL game over the next month. Most of the boys will get some well earned recovery time. Should be some interesting Bears line-ups as well.

Canberra have used halves as a bench hooker ahead of Garvey.
Not a terrible player but i would prefer to give Brittain the opportunity if it came to that and use the extra roster spot for either a prospect or someone who might strengthen us.
Clark played hooker as a junior i believe and Murray is capable of filling in if needed, as well as Reynolds having spent some time there in 2015.
Bring in a hooker shouldn't be a priority imo

He has covered for Cook nicely both games and is on our books until the end of the season so why look elsewhere.

I've thought about it a fair bit actually and I tend to agree with you now Itsa. At first I thought we shouldn't stand in his way but gee, if we let him go and Cook was to get injured, it could be be an absoulute disaster.
