That's if he is leaving, it was just a report from the media so it could be all fantasy.

Just on the dogs it has also been said that Curtis Rona could be off to play rugby with the western force.

Could be true, as they have been chasing Brenko Lee to cover him next year, Which means its another year of injury backup duty for ex bunnies Phillips and Smith.

Cook's a flash in the pan--I said that from the start.

His record over a long period says this.

He's just not tough enough--physically or mentally!!

Certainly the way Souths defence has been this year we need the best defenders in the side doyen.

You mean 2 games at the end of the season?

D Cook 2015 stats:
5 games, 90% tackle efficiency, 5 tackle breaks, 3 line breaks, 2 try assists, 4 tries

Round 24, 2015: Bulldogs 32, Rabbitohs 18

D Cook - 49 tackles (3 missed), 1 line break, 1 try assist, 1 try
C McInnes - 35 tackles (1 missed), 0 line breaks, 0 try assists, 0 tries

I know it was only one game but what better comparison than both our 9s head to head. As NBA player Rasheed Wallace would say, "Ball don't lie!"

It's a bit rough to take that match for a comparison, Souths were a severely sore and depleted line-up at the end of 2015.

How about this stat---18 NRL games;the bulk off the bench; & 100+ NSW Cup games!!!

Those are the same stats for Cody Walker and people all over this tread are saying how great he is. So it ok for a 26 yr old half to play more than 100 NSW/QLD Cup games, but it should count against Cook? How could that be right? Either they are both useless because of that stat or its completely irrelevant. I'm gonna go with irrelevant.

But Cody has shown us what he is capable of.

How can you possibly compare 5 games to Cam who played a lot more
That's where u need an average to really make it fair otherwise it is irrelevant

You can't put too much weight into 1 game, like I said, but you can't completely discount it. It shows what he may be capable of if given the opportunity, Madge hasn't given him one.

Cook and mcinnes were both given equal opportunity in the early rounds. Mcinnes took his chances, cook didn't. Cook was even given 2 games starting (with mcinnes dropped for one) and still didn't perform.

I like Cook as well as Cam but Madge prefers Cam and he hasn't been injured so it is hard to get a real perspective on what Cook has to offer.

But Cody has shown us what he is capable of.

Only because he has been given a chance. You think McInnes is better than Cook, fine. But you cannot say he hasn't been any good because he hasn't been given the chance.

2 players in their mid 20s, both have played more than 100 reserve grade games, both have shown glimpses of being good first graders. One is given an opportunity and makes the most of it. The other plays 20 minutes off the bench a few times, starts a couple of games when players around him are playing like rubbish and apparently he's hopeless. Such is the fickle life of a rugby league footballer.

Equal opportunities? So one starts and plays the crucial first 50 minutes and the other comes on either after we have blown the team off the park (hard to believe this actually happened) or were getting towel up. Cam took his opportunities? Take out 20 minutes against Manly and he's been average at best.

First game, mcinnes gets us off to a flying start, strong running, scores a try. Cook gets introduced early in the second half, runs for a grand total of 2 metres in a half of football (against a side that's already been dominated) similar story for the early rounds. Mcinnes starts of, plays ok, cook comes on, either gets knocked out or has zero impact.
Mcinnes has a breakout game against manly, cook gets dropped the next week. The week after we have a shocker against roosters, mcinnes gets dropped, cook starts. Cook gets 2 games starting and what do you know, doesn't do much. Mcinnes comes back in for the parra game and at leasts his defence is great and we win. Win the next game as well, and despite losing in golden point against the Titans mcinnes is one of our best.
So while McInnes isn't the best hooker going around, at least he hasn't wasted his chances. Cook has been given so many chances, more them the average reserve grader gets to prove himself and yet people still say he hasn't been treated fairly.
