NRL 2015: Rabbitohs back-rower Kyle Turner set to make return from spinal injury

SOUTH Sydney back-rower Kyle Turner is set to make his return from a spinal injury this weekend.

Turner suffered the injury in the NRL All Stars game in February and was sidelined indefinitely following surgery.
However, the 23-year-old will likely make his return for Rabbitohs’ feeder club North Sydney on Sunday against Wentworthville in the NSW Cup at North Sydney Oval.
Fellow back-rower Chris McQueen said Turner’s return was a big boost for Souths, with eight rounds to play before the finals.
“It has not been easy for him but he is still quite young. All the boys were supporting him and he knew if he did the right things he would get back on the paddock,” McQueen said “He has been great around training, he has absolutely ripped in. He has got his body right.
“He was showing some good form early on. He will come back into the team and we expect him to be right back where he was.”
Fresh off the bye, Souths meet the struggling St George Illawarra Dragons, who have lost five games in a row, at the SCG on Saturday night in round 19 of the NRL

Guys we are still finalising the Auva'a contract.

It looks like it's going to be a 3 year contract extension.

So we will most likely have Auva'a until at least the end of 2018.

The club has stuck by him and now it's time for him to repay the club and souths members.

This will be a quality signing:)

Renewing Kirisome Auva’a would leave Bryson Goodwin, Aaron Gray, Ben Lowe, Sione Masima, Daryl Millard, Joel Reddy and Kyle Turner as the only players off contract at the end of the season.

Does the re-signing of Auva'a make the retention of Gray more difficult?

Keep Turner, Gray and Goodwin. I will leave the decision re Masima up to you.

Get rid of the rest throwing in McQueen and Clarke just for good measure.

We really needed Auva'a and resigning him is the best signing this year.

You would think so though the likely departure of Reddy could free up space to keep Auva'a, Goodwin and Gray but would Gray be happy to remain out on the wing?

Hmm, no I think he would want to play centre.........Gray to Melbourne is starting to look more probable.
