Was listening to 2SM talkin sport yesterday and was laughing at the dribble and obvious hate for our Club from an old Souffs supporter.

He starts off by saying we are no chance to get into the GF because we have too soft a run in into the finals and it wasn't an ideal preparation. And all the other top 8 teams playing each other in the lead up to the finals was perfect preparation. Yeah like he wouldn't want to swap our position on the ladder and draw coming into the finals to where his Club sits.

Then he goes on to say he only saw Souffs or the Rorters playing Penrith in the GF. He obviously doesn't realise Souffs might not even make the 8 if they get bounced by the Cowboys and Rorters in their final two games.

Then he goes onto say we are in a lot of trouble because we have so many players off contract next season and we'd lose a lot of them. Like he knows???

Just love the jealousy. Only means fools like this dude are burning at our success this season and we are well on track with where the Club is going. Oh and I will love watching games like the Storm Vs Rorters this weekend and watch them belt the shyte out of each other over the next couple of weeks. I know what route to the finals I'd rather have for my Club and it isn't Souffs! Fitzy will have the team ready to go Week 1 of the finals.

Some of the analysis of our draw has been downright lazy. They mention the storm missing players but neglect to mention we had no Nicho, Toby etc

We have got lucky with how the season has panned out and our draw, but sheesh it would take a pretty big conspiracy to manipulate other teams sides, injuries etc.
I'm not on tweeter but I've seen links to that bloke who started going on about it a couple of months ago, it was fuelled on by Gus retwotting it every time.

Lot of fluffy stuff and assumptions about us winning next two. A quick look at historical conspiracies sees a lot of major upsets in last two rounds. I've got my tin foil hat on .

Everyone talking about the 'soft' draw and how the Sharks wouldn't be sitting in 3rd place if we had more games against other top 8 teams.... all those people are automatically assuming that the Sharks would lose any hypothetical additional games against top 8 teams. It's a dumb argument. We have beaten Cows, Storm, Parra, Rabbits. Who's to say that we wouldn't beat the Broncos if we played them this week to retain our spot on the ladder? Or the Rabbits again? Or Penrith or Parra?

They are also forgetting wins like the one against the Warriors where we had 11 men playing against 13. No other team in the top 8 have done that.

Cowboys have had a very similar draw to what we have had. Not much discussion about them in the media or punters on the talkback radio.

It’s a jealous/envious Sydney Club Syndrome. A lot of supporters from other Sydney Clubs hate seeing the Sharks do well. It kills them. It really does. So any perceived advantage we look like getting they blow up like a second hand lawn mower.

If we finish second and we get to play at Shark Park watch the usual types blow up on the radio that we shouldn’t be allowed to host a finals game at home. Whingeing Kents.

The Cronulla Sharks will be rewarded with a home semi-final at PointsBet Stadium should the club finish second on the ladder.

The NRL has decided against moving the semi-final to Allianz Stadium where they could make at least double the revenue in gate takings and corporate sales.

Shark Park has a capacity of only 11,500 because of building works at their Woolooware Bay development.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has confirmed the match will be played at PointsBet to protect the integrity of the finals series.
