I have it on good authority that 3-4 business men were willing to top up Morris salary, but Doust for some reason refused/made excuses.

Well, I was told Doust thought Morris was too fast....that he had too much pace......and the rest of other slugs wouldn't keep up..
or support Morris's line breaks.

Doust was worried that a pacey back would make the rest of our team all look like aged pensioners.

You must know no one single players is bigger than the club!

Especially if they have pace!

Widdop 7/10. Had probably the worst game of his career against Brisbane, was poor against the cows too. Was excellent against the Roosters though. A solid first grade stand-off, but not a play maker. Hi Jonesy. Thanks for your input. Aside from the Broncos and Cowboys, don't forget about the game vs the Shonkies. Mann had a special game to forget but Widdop wasn't much, if any better. That is 3 shockers out of 8 games and it's hardly like he "dominated" the other games. Given this fact I can't understand the "7" at all. Though I think you hit the nail right on the head. Widdop is good as the sidekick of a superstar half and superstar outside backs. In an environment where he is supposed to be the main playmaker he is absolutely, f**king useless! And it isn't any secret that it annoys me greatly.

Still, 7/10 is recorded and thanks again. I can't help but think how much better the Tigers were without Moses and how much better the Dragons attack was in the one game without Widdop last season.

Anyway, even though I am relentlessly flamed for it, Mann is a dud, Lafai only slightly less so and cheif playmaker Widdop worse than both. lets wait and see how things turn out. I don't expect BrissyRedV and BennyV to apologize for flaming me when a new coach finally sets things right and the club "really starts rebuilding."

Not sure if you can see the conclusion you are drawing here but it appears in your opinion unless Widdop plays out of his skin every single game nobody else can manufacture a win for the team.

I don't really give a flying f**k how much "effort" he puts in. I mean, that is something but he is a playmaker, not a prop. I want to see him directing the attack and creating tries and line breaks on a regular basis.

How many games has Widdop played since he arrived?

How many wins has he played in?

How many of the total games he has played would you give him <5, 5.5 - 7-5, > 7.5?

How many of the wins would you rate him <5, 5.5 - 7-5, > 7.5?

Highlighting stats that has him leading the try assists (4 next best McCrone with 2) and 2nd on our try scoring list does not support your argument. It suggests a systemic problem from the coachimg ranks. Unless of course you blame him for that too?

Vas comes from nowhere and posts a 1,00 plus posts very quickly predominantly with the Widdop V Benji crap.

Ruby comes from nowhere and already well on the road to a 1,000 posts also with Widdop bagging as the main theme but no stated love for Benji.

Vas has now also decided to follow Ruby and has cast Benji aside (love is fickle indeed).

Vas has stopped quoting Lennin and Ruby is giving tirades with similar vitriol.

To show that there is no link between them Ruby has consigned Vas (and myself) to the "ignore list".

Vas has in turn let me out of his ignore list and wants to have interaction.

Clumsy effort at best so try pants on even days and dresses on odd days and that will stop the confusion.
