You forgot some pathetically disrespectful supporters. One with multiple personality disorder in particular

Widdop won't be here past this year, you think putting up with his lack of leadership and skills beyond this year is remotely possible, you are dreaming.

Now you blame the coach, wakeup!

He came from a rorting cheating storm culture .....just one of the reasons many can't stand him.

For all your love of Benji and dislike of Widdop and constant quoting of stats please comment on this.

At Balmain Benji averaged a career of 52.74% win ratio in club games and 66% win ratio in finals and the total outcome was 1 premiership in 11 years and that was a club with a very good playing roster for long periods and a great coach.

For him to be the consummate play maker you rate him to be 1 premiership is hardly a "big haul".

So Widdop has been here for a couple of years with terrible coaches and a crap roster so in the interest of procedural fairness judge him when he has been here 11 years and had some good cattle around him and an upgrade in coaches.

In the meantime STFU about it and stick your statistics where the sun don't shine because they are heavily slanted in 1 direction just as you are.

WTF do you keep raving about Benji for? I know it was all the rage last season but this season you can't blame him for Widdop's shocking form because he has been out.

If he isn't, it will be his choice and not the clubs.

Widdop has had some mixed form this year which he is starting to turn around, but overall the coaching staff must shoulder the blame for not finding an effective way to use the strengths of our playing roster.

The playing roster implement the game plan devised by the coaching staff. I've long thought the areas of responsibility in the halves have never clearly been defined and you end up with Widdop and Benji in effect competing with each other...and well, the rest is on the scoreboard for all to see.

And yes, I know Benji hasn't played much this year and we had a shocking first 2 legs of the Qld road trip and it was all Gareth's fault yadda yadda, but generally I think my point above holds true.

I have a good opinion of Gareth. The Dragons fans I know do too. A small sample I know, but the club and players must share a similar opinion. Point being, when I think of the Storm salary cap scandal, Widdop is not one of the players I think (rightly or wrongly) bad of.

I think if you have a positive opinion of Widdop as a player you shouldn't be critical of McGregor. I think McGregor is the only coach so incompetent as to make Widdop captain. Ivan Cleary for example would do it like this: Week 1, strip Widdop of captaincy. Week 2, drop him to the NSW Cup. Week 3, Widdop is no longer part of the club.

I can't see any other NRL team which would want him. Maybe the Roosters. He could play a role like he did with Melbourne at the Roosters. i.e. Make a very minimal dent in the salary cap and not try to do much. Just don't make mistakes and try to take advantage of the good things the star players around you do.

Hello Minh. How are you today? Did he or did he not have a shocking game against the Shonkies, NQ and Brisbane? That is 3 shockers in 8 games and it's hardly like he set the world on fire in the others. So given this, how you you rate his form?

The losing culture is really disturbing. It seems to permeate at all levels of the club, not just this forum.

I'm good thanks for asking, he was MoM last week and one of our best in the other 4 wins. Show perspective and not bias and you would have more credibility.

The way it was reported was that Benny Creagh suggested Widdop be his replacement and Mary agreed. I must admit to thinking at the time whether it was a sweetener to get him to sign on longer term...those Super League whispers last year would pop up every now and again and it's where I see him ending up so I'd be surprised if he re-signs to be honest.

I don't mind Mary. As I've posted elsewhere, I think he has potential to be a good coach, but he needs to takes stock and bring the right people on board that can fill the gaps. ATM, the big gap is our inability to score points. Get the right people to provide input into the game plan given the talents within the squad and then let's see.

Widdop obviously has talent...you don't play as much first grade as he has if you don't.

Hello Minh. I'm happy to hear it. That is an interesting username. Are you Chinese? I think east Asian women are (generally) hot!

Anyway, how has the attack been this season and what is the job of the main playmaker?

Widdop did it again. The Warriors player ran straight at him and Widdop stepped out of the way. This is the captain???? McGregor has lost his f**king mind!

No mention of the try saving tackle?

Also, wtf are you on about re the Johnson try? GW no more at fault than anyone.

Anyway, good to see the halves clicking with each other.

What try saving tackle? Was it a standard legs tackle every first grade player should be able to make?

I saw twice a NZ player ran straight at him and technically you couldn't say he missed the tackle because he steeped out of the way and didn't even try. He did it with Boyd in the Broncos game as well but slapped him across the face as Boyd went past and conceded a penalty from which the Broncos scored.
