To MX of Australia who doesn't have the guts to put a name - I am a season ticket holder and have been since years before they won a premiership. I dropped out of the football club because there is nothing their for the supporters - we are nothing to Fitzgerald and co and eventually all the real Parramatta people who loved the club and acted in the clubs best interests passed away - that is why I dropped out! The El supremo Dictator is fast approaching his nigh. His dictatorship control of the club has made it a laughing stock. This man wallowed on the glory of the men he now faces as his executioners. It will take a long time for the scars to heal when he is gone. But only with his demise can Parramatta become a force to be reckoned with. Too late for me to vote this year. If the new ticket do not get in then I and others will have to register to ensure that we will get to the voting booth next year. I think Fitzy is a great CEO. Look at how he's bought and developed some great talent. Why we could cite several examples. Jamie Lyon, T Williams, D (Wolfman) Williams, Scott Donnell and Shane Dunley. Even the older fellows like me would remember those great Parra players in Ray Higgs, David Liddiard and Geoff Gerard. All great players from Parra. And there were many more who got their start at Parra and then went into the big leagues with MANLY. So to all you Fitzy knockers stop it. He's doing a great job along with Parra being a great feeder club. (PS I also love Ray Hadley too.) Look Parra didn't do too badly last year. They came in 11th. That means it took 10 other teams to beat them. All I can say is keep it up Parra, all Manly fans love what you are doing. You can take some pride in the 40 -NIL victory Manly had over Melbourne. Tthe time has come and its about time i must say! Fitzgerald has to go for the good of Parra and for the good of the game. For Parra to move forward change has to happen. We need the passion brought back to the game and the Parra legends who are passionate supprters and believers in the club are the guys to do it. They see the damage that has been done and what is being done and have put their hand up, so we have to get behind them! I am all behind the old boys forming a ticket to turn the tide at Parra. Every club has a history of keeping its old boys involved, look at AC Milan, Real Madrid, Man United, even looking at toerh clubs in the NRL, the successful ones keep that link to heir past. Fitzy has destroyed that at Parra, and in doing so has destroyed the heart and soul of the club. These new boys have no idea what playing for parra means. As a life long Manly fan i just love watching this circus roll on, i've been subject to this fools incoherent rambling on the big sports breakfast for many years now, he completely ruins what is a great radio program, calling himself the emperor of parramatta and jibbering on as if he owns half of the joint. I've loved these guys and Parramatta for years! I still have my "I Love Ray Price" T-shirt from the last winning grand final! These guys ( and many of our past Parra heros) have been treated abominably by Fitzgerald and the present board - they have been in power long enough and done enough damage, they have to go ! It's great that the guys feel so passionately about things at Parra but pride and passion cannot make up for a clever business mind. What credentials do they have to run the football club or more pertinently the leagues club??? Having said this, Fitzgerald and Overton have been there way too long and a fresh line of thinking will only benefit both clubs in the long run. Even if the guys make some blues then the club will learn from that and do it differently next time. At the moment we appear to keep doing the same thing and expecting better results - madness! If Fitzgerald was as passionate about Parra as he says then perhaps he should start mentoring a protege to take over when he steps down. I am available!!! If your coach is not performing for 2 years, he gets sacked. If your players are not performing for a year, they are 'released'. If your CEO has not brought new talent into the club (but brought players nearing the end of their careers), has managed to annoy quite of few of the fans (not just from his own club) by making ridiculous comments about other teams (or their staff/players) and making us even more hated by the opposition, then keep him on 22 years after his last team last one a First Grade Premiership! The man has even managed to put fans of his own club off-side by the way he has treated some of our former superstars (Sterlo, Guru, Burt, Terry and of course Mr Perpetual Motion). Of course, I am just bringing out the negatives, Tahu was a good buy, and there have probably been some other good things that Fitzgerald has done over the last 30 years. But I believe that 30 years in the same job is too long and it is time for a change, and being a member of the Blue and Gold Army, I know where my vote is going! The likes of Price, Grothe and co will bring the club back to it's grass roots, he has let so many good players go which has been detramental to the club which is why we haven't won a title for so long. He should do the rightful thing by the majority of our clubs supporters and stand down or at least raise a motion for an open vote by all current members (not just the ones currently entitled to vote) on who should have control.This arguement raises its ugly head at this time of year, every year, Its time, the supporters of this once mighty club, were heard, and action is taken. Any organisation that harbours long serving officials like Parramatta run the risk of the place being prone to complacency, a lack of vision and laziness. If the new ticket get up then lets clean the place up and I would start in the Marketing and Sponsorship area. Steven Edge has been in that position for as long as Fitzgerald's been in his. As a long time Eels fan I would love nothing more than these Legends to get in - the only problem is that most fans like me dropped out of the football club so we can't vote there even if we rejoined, for the next 3 years, so the majority of people who did stay and do vote would be Fitzgerald people and I also got out of the new "Denis improved Chinese Parramatta Leagues Club" as did most people I know for the same reason. But if they do fail at the first hurdle but go onto the Leagues Club elections - then I will rejoin the club to do my bit to help them succeed. Good luck guys - Parra needs you. Don't bother boys just get in line for when rationalisation takes place and you have no choice but to merge with another club to survive. The times they are a chang'n and RL will struggle as will all sports, but League has a real credibility issue here in NSW and will end up seeing out it's days as a serious tier one competition in Qld. Doubters, just look to the country and see what is happening to the game and the schools where parents are making informed and alternative choices for their kids as far as sport goes.
