Ray Price tells Timana Tahu to stop sulking

The Ando should send the Tahu to Westmead Childrens Hospital for the next 4 weeks to get a massive reality check as to what a real problem is.

That's rubbish.

Racism is a huge problem and Timana has for the most part done a great job in making people sit up and take notice.

Where he went wrong was letting it impact upon his football.

But don't trivialise it by trying to compare it to a completely unrelated issue.

Is that you Des Hasler?

You remind me of any given NRL club. A journalist could write 35 glowingly positive stories on a club and never hear a word but as soon as one negative story is written half the club jumps on the phone to yell abuse.

Is that you Dean Ritchie???

The D.T. has rubbished him at every opportunity.

I disagree with this. It is only since his meltdown on Monday night that the DT has rubbished him.
IMO, unfortunately, it is somewhat a reflection of public perception since then also. I believe he has lost a little public sympathy with the way he carried on.
Emphasis has now moved away from the racism issue at hand and is now focussed directed at Tahu. Timana should assume major responsibilty for this shift as it is his behaviour since SOO week that has polarised people.

I'm sure he doesnt need one of his own giving the DT a leg up though. Pricey should be dragged over the coals.

You don't make any sort of compelling case there.

Story one - A news yarn quoting Ray Price.
Story two - You could be onto something for once.
Story three - A new yarn.

You need to understand the difference between a news story and an opinion piece. Ironically, there are two opinion pieces in today's paper yet you've chosen to ignore the one that counters your argument.

Let me ask you, when the Tele or the SMH or whoever were breaking the Melbourne salary cap story, where they on an anti-Storm crusade or where they simply reporting what had happened?

And I would expect you to say plenty.

Funny, I could have sworn it was Ray Price that said he was sulking.

I agree with you re: Ritchie's opinion piece though. But hey, it's one opinion piece from one journo - hardly enough to suggest there is suddenly a media campaign against him.

yeah, and who rang rent a quote pricey so they could run that piece? Pricey should have kept his mouth.

The tele clearly moved on and made T the issue. The fact Ritchie's OP is one part of a case 'for and against Timana Tahu' is a bit of a giveaway....

Cant blame them though, because they've probably just picked up the feeling of much of their suburban readership who think T has been carrying on like a pork chop.

It's funny Fishy, I thought you were more intelligent than most fans yet you've immediately fallen for the "[insert publication] ran a couple of slightly negative stories so they've got an anti [insert club or player] campaign going".

Sorry but I couldn't find the case-for in any of the related story links??

Take a look around the DT website.... They're doing their best to shame Tahu. Oh but maybe their was that one nice opinion piece about him...

Today's paper clearly reflects an agenda that now portrays Tahu as the bad guy. He is a sulk who shouldnt have walked and needs to get on with his life.

OR, buy the paper and see what's actually in it today.

That's sooooo 21st century

Can we please not water down the legitimacy of Tahu's stance against Andrew Johns ? You cannot make racial slurs against your fellow man. Simple.

If it is only today's paper, please explain how it is an agenda.

An agenda is Phil Gould's 10-year campaign against the NRL.

You're a typical fan, Fishy - taking any sort of negative story about your team as a personal affront.

I don't know whether the Tele has an agenda at all, they are just out to sell as many papers as possible and will do whatever it takes. They don't give a sh*t about anything or anyone tbh.

They've taken 4 words from Pricey and turned it into a back page headline, with two further pages debating those few words. ("Tahu should stop sulking")

Very poor journalism imo.

As I said, they don't give a sh*t about anyone.

And yes, Pricey should be a little more constructive in his comments, or not say anything at all, particularly when it concerns his own club.
I certainly think that either Spagnolo or Osborne should have a word in his ear.

sorry - but i reckon Tahu is sulking ...... didn't see Dean Widders going on for weeks after he got sledged by Fletcher - Deano obviously had more composure

isn't this also a rather racist stereotypical thing to say? ... everyone who lives in the shire is branded with the same brush eh?

Make a meaning out of a statement! Is the Shire racist?
and why shouldn't the The Telegraph be PROUD to be the represent the view of the Shire?
