He is a mostly tidy defender but as props go, his carries are about as hard as a soft feathered pillow.

Yeah defensively hes very good.. he firms up the middle..

But henry does that to with more punch and upside..

We cant carry both henry and smith..we need to pick one asap and let one go..

I think wed clear up more money letting smith go and with mal coach of the bears, smith would probs walk in over there..

I prefer an ugly win to even the prettiest loss - especially when every point matters.

It wasn't a particularly ugly win - but it wasn't great.

At the end of the game the camera panned over to Ivan and his expression was a mixture of annoyance and relief. Pretty much the same as mine :D

You knew Tigers were going to lift for this one. Cue the whinging from their fans about the ref now. He did put the whistle away in the last quarter of the game.

Thank God he did, because this game had almost zero flow and was really hard to watch. He was looking to ping us at every opportunity and for the majority of the game - we were stupid enough to oblige.

What got me though is Tigers could virtually get away with anything in the ruck whilst he pinged us constantly.

Luai reading those plays like a book he knows when Naths getting it, they should be looking to set something up there cuase Luai is coming for nath every time

We can wear this can't we?

One of our former senior players reads our game. Sure. He does that at least. Otherwise he didn't get it done.

Win for us. I'm we'll contented.

Massive shout out to Sorro.

The try saver was the third best play of his career.

(Nothing will ever top reversing like Ben Creagh in the 2023 GF to avoid the obstruction on Cleary's match winning try)
Yes what he did in 23 grand final was legendary but today's effort was pretty dam close.

I think he needs to be played a bit wider.

He is too slow both in a straight line and laterally to be an edge forward - offensively AND defensively. To me he is almost a lock or nothing.

He should really be a benchie again, but I don't mind how Ivan is using him.
Ivan is using Smith to tackle for the 1st 15-20 and then injecting Patea - and it's working. He is giving Luron more minutes and trusting him more and more. At the current trajectory Patea looks set to become our true #2 prop. He'd almost be on track to become our #1 prop but Leota is really starting to rip in and show he is still a Top Dog.

I don't mind Ivan using Patea as our Spencer Leniu replacement, so in that context don't mind the role Smith is being given at the moment. It would be handy if we had a stronger runner though - just imagine if we'd somehow got Terrell May instead Paps to replace Fish. We'd be a far more dangerous side.

It was a win. Aren't we haopy?

Now it's bye then the Warriors....a game in witch we are happy to be merely competitive.

A Warriors win by us would be all time. Anyone backing up? Odds say no.
