Safest option is to rest our Origin boys and load up against the Dogs.

But the travel is logistically possible. Late night flight from Perth gets them to Auckland early Thursday afternoon. Captain's run Friday, then game Saturday afternoon - have them on the late flight out of Auckland and sleeping in their own beds on Saturday night.

If we were sitting in the 8 you wouldn't do it...but we gave up that option with the slow start to the season. The way the Wahs are going I think we need all our Origin players to beat them...even then it's not a certainty.

Listen to Ivan's presser. It won't be happening, and he isn't happy about not having the choice.

Ivan and the coaching staffs know what is physically possible for these players. Ivan says it's not. Funny enough I believe him.

Massive shout out to Sorro.

The try saver was the third best play of his career.

(Nothing will ever top reversing like Ben Creagh in the 2023 GF to avoid the obstruction on Cleary's match winning try)
The try he scored in the grand final tops it especially since it was against parra

I heard what he said. He should be more pissed that we're not in a position where we can afford to rest them.

I think they'll be named. Decision to be made straight after Origin 2 - players will tell Ivan whether they want to play. Those that can back up will (particularly if NSW win).

I doubt they do anything. Even I was starting to question the nrl's integrity after the officiating this game.
Probably not. But having the Panthers half strength for first match against JFH...missed opportunity for the NRL to market the game in NZ. Particularly with Super Rugby GF the same day in NZ.

Anyway, the option is still there whether or not the NRL step in.

Alice is right. Ivan sad exactly what Alice said in the presser. It has nothing to do with Ivan resting them, it is purely about logistics of the travel involved. He can't play them even if he wants to. Ivan wasn't happy about the decision being taken out of the Clubs hands.

Let's see that in 2 weeks then shall we?

The crusher tackle looked like a shoulder crush to me and I can’t remember one like it being penalised.

Hard game, too hard, worried about running out of steam physically and mentally by season’s end.

Henry doesn’t make the 17 at present, even though Sorro offers standard plod in attack he obviously can’t be dropped.
