I enjoyed that game, very clinical and dominant first half. Knights chanced their arm in the second and got a few tries to put the pressure on but I felt we got ourselves back in the game and settled when we needed to.

I actually thought for 65-70 minutes of the contest we were very good. Our intensity in defence was terrific, maybe a little clunky in attack at times but overall I thought it was a very, very god team performance.

Schneider topped tackle count, thought was very good other than coming out of the line which contributed to the Knights try.

Not a surprise. The right is where we concede 2/3 of our tries.

I'm the most honest bloke on this forum.
It's well beyond just his defence now, he used to break tackles for fun and the defence had no idea what to do with him. Now he's just nothing

He had two tackle breaks, same as Alamoti. 23 tackles, 3 misses. Alamoti 21 tackles, six misses. Tago was marking a rep quality centre in Bradman Best. I thought he played well.

He was not running at any more than 80% speed. Was definitely preserving his hamstring. His chase on the ball carrier for Newcastles second try and his coverage of that chip kick for Newcastles 3rd were the most blatant signs - but honestly there were at least half a dozen times it was quite noticable.

Toelau better than Sommerton IMO.

Sommerton is the better defender. Toelau's defence is ordinary at best. Very flashy with the ball though, interesting to have a hooker who can kick long out of dummy half.

Toelau is a 7, played very few at hooker given who we have there. Not sure he gets much game time in NSW Cup

There was a few passes off target. One in particular to Smith on the halfway.

But he hasn't played since the Dogs game and he and Toelau had the defence hanging back which bought time

It’s quite remarkable being second on the ladder, with significant injuries and a couple or more shit players . Amazing really, just good luck I guess.
