I don’t think I can remember a game where coaching literally affected the result.

That was mind boggling.
I'm not disputing what you are saying, but
in what way did Arthur's coaching affect that game do you think? (I have my own views.)

The NRL need to jig the rules for 18th man activation. I am suggesting that if you lose a player to a foul play like last night who plays in your 1-7 starting side you can also activate your 18th man player.
No side is replacing their 1-7 or faking it to get an interchange like they may try in the forwards.
And this isn't just due to Simmonson. I've seen game before where they've been disadvantaged due to a foul play.
I also think that this 18th man should be allowed on while the HIA is being assessed for 15mins.

It's common sense they change his rule.

Penrith looked a bit cooked. Completed at 65%.
They also didn't score another point once Tulagi went off injured. Coincidence? Don't be a peanut.

Overall we went ok. But unsure if scoreline reflected game. They made 9- 3line breaks. We arent that far away but side needs tweaking.
Joe O should be used as bait for a class centre. I see little from this guy. Why do people thing the tigers where keen to release
Too and Henry basically dropped balls over the line...could've been a lot worse. The reluctance and/or ineptness to shift Dylbro to left centre is defence shows how much lacking the coach and his staff on reading the game.
Cleary mentioned in his presser that they went that way because they knew we were shot...a good coach would've seen this ain't working. Hands to 5/8 and dylbro to centre in defence would've been the better/ smarter move....I guess the video review will tell them what we were seeing during the game.
Wiremu Moretti and Doorey will come into calculation. Joe O i thought went well in the 1st stint apart from being rag dolled early His 2nd stint not so good.
Panfers defence rush up and in. We play compressed and get run around. We still have massive issues defensively...
Getting a back knocked out 1st min sucks dogs balls. Scum luai and too were actually laughing about it...epic grubs
F#&$ u scum riff

Great post and well thought through...
18th man for a blatant smash to the face should absolutely allow 18th man even during HIA.
Not when it's a non reportable offence eg a head clash

Seems like I’m the only one who seems positive after that haha. Great effort from the boys, bring on next week. We are shaping up for a big season.
Agree. I thought we did extremely well under the circumstances. We desperately need a left centre of some class. And speed. Things may have been very different with Simmonson out there. But we STILL need another back. When Sivo comes back and Simmo back in the centres we might just scrape by.

Coaches will stay up until 4 in the morning working on ways to cheat that.

What would you have done?
Surely blind Freddie could see Kelma in the centres wasn't working??? The bloke was our least mobile bench forward and he's the one Supercoach decided to stuck out there. Surely Matto or Carty would of been a better option??? Hands to defend at 6 while Dyl defended in the centres???

Thats right it's not the coaches job to worry about moving players around after an injury.

Fair enough. I'm perplexed about Hands not being used (as replacement for a tiring Lussick). But Carty and Matto were doing a job in the forwards, and we needed them there.

Kelma could of done a job in the forwards and there is no doubt Carty or Matto would of been a much better option out wide. Arthur's coaching last night was absolutely embarrassing and it's amazing the dribble people are willing to post to defend him.

Change it to have 2 players available as well then you have a back and a forward available.
