Atleast our defense should improve. Also, if Blair isn't going to pass it often, atleast that reduces how often our players are going to drop the ball.

If Blair isnt going to pass it often that also reduces the touches that Jennings will get ;-)

I'll go against the grain. I'm interested in the changes Elliott has made and looking forward to the game on Saturday.

I don't think you guys will get flogged. If we win it will be by a small margin and due to the class of carney. Remember we also have a lot of problems to fix from round 1.

Your halves should beat ours.
Which in turn should help your backs beat ours.

While your forwards will give 100% and ours will watch Petero do all the work.

I think it will be a closer game, but Raiders seem to have it on Panthers. We always struggle to beat you guys.

Sorry to jump into a foreign forum - but a mate who is OS at the moment is asking about Michael Gordon and why he's not playing.
I cant find any info as to wether he's injured or in reserves or what.
Any signs of life in Panther town?

The frustrating thing for me as a die hard Panther supporter is that we have some quality players that are either playing out of position of simply not giving 100% out on the paddock.

I'm sick of the old cliche " The coach doesn't drop the ball out on the field". The coach is obviously putting the players through training drills that are not in sync or are perhaps too complex for this early stage of the season.

What's wrong with walking before you crawl? Get out there with a simple game plan in rounds 1-4 and then add the more complex stuff into the game as the players develop and form combinations.

I'm not a first grade coach but the side was all over the shop like a mad woman's sh*t against the Broncs. They need to lift 300% to beat Canberra.

I will be there cheering them on regardless and I hope they can fix the problems.

Go the Panthers! (I wish we had a kicker in the side though)

He's injured - knee I think.

His return is hopefully imminent within a few weeks.

F'ing that'll do me...

O'Halloran......Geoff Daniella there...god damn it...i'd rather Junior Moors play there ffs!

And Brendan Worth starting spot...are you high Elliot...I mean it...seriously.. THis guy is the BIGGEST waste of space to play for this club...wtf has he ever done that is any good...

Bob Blair at five-eight could be ok, but in all honesty who is the second kicker?...Last time Bob Blair played five-eight we got 50 put on us by the Warriors.

I see Nathan Smith is on his knees again this week...maybe O'Halloran picked up his game this week to earn a spot.

Good bench at least...but lacks Iosefa.

Its just so F'ING FRUSTRATING!...These DUMB...DUMB selections.

Monoghan and Graham are gonna have field days with Carney's little chip kicks over the top of our big wingers.

Canberra's backline...is bloody quick...but our Wingers are bloody slow...Realistically...we need to combat that. But we arn't cause our coach is a moron.

Great spray Big Mick. I can feel your frustration.

Steady Eddy Elliott will keep coming up with these selections because he thinks he's outsmarting the opposition.........

Our wins last year came in great part because Neil Henry had a better game plan than Matthew Elliott.

He out thought him. It will be interesting to see if that continues.

Panthers are due for a win over us I fear...

Panthers have been due for wins for a long time now.

Unfortunately our players don't care either way.

You've had a rough trot, but remember no team is as good, or as bad, as they looked in Round 1.

Before the start of the season I was of the belief that the Panthers would make the eight.
Admittedly they haven't got off to a good start but somtimes an early bad loss can be a catalyst for a great season.

Elliott has to sort out the halves though.

We'll post a big win sometime in the next four weeks (like we did against the Dogs last year and Eels in '06), which will give the impression that we're back on track, only to lose 8 of the next 10.

I want the trend to be bucked, I really do. Surprise me Penrith.

Well according to the TAB, you're due this week.. giving away 12.5 points start and at $1.40 or something...

WTF? A 12.5 point start?

Raiders would be worth throwing $50 on to win then. We're even worse when we're favorites.

We usually get a win or two early in the season though before sinking into mediocrity or worse. I hope the trend gets bucked.
