Sandow kicked it and it wasn't even close, looked to have come off the side of his boot

absolute shocker, who else should we blame ?

he missed a kick from half a metre in from touch and its his fault we lost the game .... how much he missed by is irrelevant .... if it hit the post and bounced out its still a f**kin miss

ffs

Twiz prefers Kelly there. But then Seph would miss all the goals

Just tried to watch a replay of the 40/20 incident and incredibly, it is not a part of the highlights package. They show the 40/20, but then just say the Eels couldn't convert the chance. Seems like a very abrupt ending. Seems the NRL doesn't want it to be seen too much.

Anyway, on the actual ballboy thing. I don't think a kid should be put into a position where he/she has the responsibility for something like that. It's a very important technicality and it makes the NRL look unprofessional. The whole quick tap thing has just been an absolute mess this year. The referees use every excuse they can to not let it happen. They are scared of it.

Absolutely not the kids fault, as you said, the unprofessional administration who just put a 10 year old in that position should be ashamed of themselves! It has been a joke all year, can't believe it's round 23 and everyone is still confused!

yeah they need to abolish quick taps for everything .... its more a farce than it was when they didn't have em ... its not even good attacking rugby league when a quick tap is taken - its just some merkin trying to slip away quick on his own

i am definitely sure BA and Hayne are both wrong. Vai was 1 metre inside the sideline.

He looked at the ball boy to hurry him up. THe ball boy ran to the ball, picked it up whilst not on the sideline. He then passed it to Vai who was 1m inside the try line.

It was a no try.

To be honest, even if Vai had have picked the ball up off the sideline I still would have called it back.

Sandow tapped it on his knee, not his foot, so it was an incorrect restart.

No try all round.

Apart from that...f**k it was a heartbreaking game.

Soft penalties leading to embarrassing tries and we look shit off a set restart. The Dogs simply rushed and shut down HaHa every time we swept to him, so we need to have alternatives like plays back inside etc.

Still, I think we're in with a shot against Manly next week. Considering I thought we'd win last night and most likely lose next week, if we can jag the two points against Manly we'll be in the same position.

it was an atrocious kicks which is why his percentage is so poor and it didn't hit the post so I'm not sure what your point is here

if you're happy to keep losing games because we dont have a decent kicker well good for you, I for one am not especially when we score more tries than our opponents and they still beat us

Anyone have the goal kicking percentages for all kickers in the nrl for 2014?

probably copies the special one

I'd say that happens when you're of the belief that you will be tackled. If you make the defense hold for a second and slightly adjust, then burst into them, you can get yourself the balance advantage and a higher chance of a quick play the ball.

HaHa does it with a set line. If there are gaps he doesn't, instead trying to swerve through them.

I find it annoying when they dont bring the ball back at full pace, as while they are dancing and f**king around the defensive line has progressed about another 10 metres

its costs the team substantial ground sometimes

Can't blame the ball boy, its the NRL at fault for a stupid rule, they might as well just bring scrums back, at least you can put a set play on.

That first 20 in the second half was where we needed to score, we had the momentum with us but couldnt get over the line, Semi going himself on the last and a poor Norman kick didnt help.

The effort was outstanding there tonight, it could be our season, but i couldnt be any more happier with the effort the players have put in this year.

I'm not going to dredge stats on all the players now, but for years Hayne led the league in kick return meterage (despite his hop skip and jump). I assume he does this year as well. It puts the opposition in 2 minds, gives him the chance of a break.

Last night he was over 10m per return, which is very high. It would be interesting to see where the other guys rank - but not convinced the hop or skip costs meters in and of itself

We didn't deserve to win but another game we got ripped off by the referees. Ben Cummins just never likes us - how he is still in the top grade is beyond me. Good to see Arthur rip into them - they deserved it and it only highlights thier performance.

I would just love to see one game where we get the rub of the green going our way.......it never happens.

I know the kick was difficult but Sandow's second Bad miss was crucial. We can't rely on Sandow to kick goals - we need to find a quality goalkicker in the offseason.

We are heading in the right direction but three games are going to define our season - that one, the first Manly loss and the Warriors smashing. We won't make the 8, but no one expected us to. Finals next year a must.

I think you can add the Tigers game, which we lost, also we should have beaten the Knights at Pirtek. The games where we just haven't front up and got smashed were appalling. They're are plenty of reasons why we probably will not make the Top 8.

the Tigers, Manly and Bulldogs games were all decided by the refs

6 points those low life pricks in pink have cost us

hopefully they all burn for eternity in the deepest and darkest pits of hell
