Who do you think is currently paid more as a unit.

J Bromich, McLean, Finucane, Glasby, Welch, Asofa- Solomona

Or

Mannah, Matagi, Scott, Brown, Vave, Alvaro?

My money is on the second list.
I actually reckon it would be comparable. Bromwich's salary would eclipse any of ours, and McLean, Finucane and NAS would be on as much as our top earners. Matagi and Alvaro wouldn't be on much. Do you really think we're paying a lot for middle forwards? I reckon Arthur is very stingy, and I'm sure the club is fully supportive.

Well thats probably the case, but what half is going to leave their current club who is going to come at any decent value? Tyrone Roberts?
How much value is on the market comes down mainly to which clubs are buying and how many players are available. Once the desperate clubs have snapped up the stars they need there will be some value available.

How many games do you reckon we'd win against the likes of Penrith and Broncos without French, Gutherson, Mau and Matagi?
Of that lot only Ma'u is really essential, though French will become so eventually.
They've been the best defensive team for the best part of a decade.
They have built a very well balanced squad over a long period. They make the hard decisions, such as letting go guys like McLean, Harris and Proctor.

We're paying alot to someone. We're not getting the value out of our middle forwards that other teams are getting.

Well everyone is going to be chasing a half.

Anyhow, thought the boys put in a great effort. But there was some frustrating moments.

We will get there.

I watched a few games this week.
Brisbane game, well if kahu doesnt pick up ball at drop out they win.

Parra , jennings butchered a try while canberra got lucky on a few. But the better team won.

Penrith dropped ball inches over line twice and had few bounces of ball go against.
Better team won.

Footy is simple. And a few dud calls can change a game.

Rapana tries to offload. Is wrapped up and loses it. Parra touches it. Rapana gets it back. Raiders score.

Yep that's classic Parra.

On the last tackle too. I replayed it a couple of times and still couldn't see where we touched it. I recall Mannah losing it backwards too but it was called a knock on.

Also hated that forced pass by Brown in the first half that led to a try.

Also has Semi ever let an opposition winger get on his outside so often?

Who said that? They might lack size compared to some packs but they are fast and hard working. It's a defensive style that takes a lot out of a team. Therefore we don't want to be conceding 60% possession.
So either our hooker shouldn't be getting isolated as much as he is (as you indicated) or our hooker needs to learn how to hit and stick because seven missed tackles in consecutive weeks is UNACCEPTABLE

Dont kids yourself bunch of peanuts.
Storm have 3 guys on over 1 million dollars.
Add the best prop in the game who would comand 700k and an Australian centre plus munster vunavullu and a few other hot young prospects.

If any team in history can fit 3/4 of the australian spine in there side id be shocked.

I think our biggest issue over the last 3 weeks has been our prioritisation of second phase play over quick play the balls to win the ruck. This has led to our forwards being far too upright at contact, getting driven back and having to throw silly offloads that just aren't on in attempt to get on the front foot. Even Mannah wasn't prepared to get to the ground early for a quick play the ball.

It wasn't until the 2nd half, when seemingly this ridiculous licence to "play football" in our own half was revoked that we started to get into the grind and were much lower in contact, that we started to gain some ground in the ruck. Vave in particular helped in this regard.

What I find alarming is it has taken 4 and a 1/2 halves of footy for us to realise something that the majority of fans realised after 1 or 2.

Kaysa played well - made 45 tackles and missed 6 while norman made 17 and missed the same amount 6. One guys on 750+ and the other maybe 150.
Matagi also missed 4 along with Gutherson and Semi.

Kaysa was not to blame for last night loss.
