I guess you're correct. I can see how it would be far quicker to use a card as opposed to one of our young Einstein's having to work out the correct change.

It's not even that, mate.

Stuff like the Noodle Markets and Multicultural festival in Canberra have been cashless for a while. I worked the champagne van at a similar event for some extra cash in hand and it's much simpler. It's the tap and go, and not having some dopey prick give you a green bandit for one beer and having to cobble together change from the tills at a sporting event, which are always heavily weighted towards small money. It's not having merkins fish through their wallet for that 20c coin they just know is there somewhere and holding the line up.

Craft beer and cider festival down here, you buy tokens at specific tents. $1 per token, 1 token gets a 75ml tasting, 2 gets you 150ml. Great way to do it with 250+ beers and ciders, you spend 50 bucks, taste 25-50 beers and get a lovely buzz.

So many people going up to tents with a fifty and asking for schooners...

So people like my Dad who has little education and only operates in cash. Never owned a bank card is a f**kwit and f**k him. He has no right to enjoy a beer at a game of footy cause he holds the line up. Forget his 50yrs of working hard in this country. He is slowing Bazal down, f**k him.
